A Thai actress has been killed in a horror crash - a year after treating herself to a top-of-the-range car.
Former child star Natnicha Cherdchubupagaree, 21, bought the white BMW X1 in April last year shortly after passing her test and posed on social media next to her beloved first car.
The young model was driving the vehicle this morning when she lost control before hitting a tree in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya near Bangkok.

Ms Cherdchubupagaree had starred in television shows and commercials as child and continued working in the entertainment industry, releasing three pop albums.

More money than sense, they come into money, and have the irresistible urge to go and buy the flashiest biggest motor they can get, just to be able to flaunt it all over social media, and show off their wealth.

Should have started with a smaller car and gained driving experience in different road conditions, before getting the X1. But that would not fit in with the typical Thai mentality

Would be easy enough to confirm, with the correct diagnostic equipment plugged into the OBD II socket, if the plod were so inclined to do so.

Still look on the bright side, that's another hiso wanabee deselected from the gene pool.

The figure of£32,000 mentioned in the Daily Mail article was on the low side when import duties were taken into account.

She must have been driving very fast, an expensive car like the BMW X1 has more protection than the average car.

That's some crash, sad. X1 isn't top of the range though probably bottom.

Can we imagine a one year old mid range second hand auto being a leading part of the story in a tragic auto accident.Of course it is kinda relevant here as the whole show off speed face part of the selfie generation.

I imagine we'll have plenty of spills this month but Nops 20 year old 10k pick up won't get the same coverage, unless he hits the jackpot a Hi-so coming the other way.

After many years here I'm inured to this dribble and the Darwinian road habits sadly of course innocent people get maimed killed and no action is taken .Rich perps to busy/ill tired to bother to' report' to the Police

^And while that might sound a bit cold, I couldn't agree more. You become numb after a while of seeing the totally senseless daily carnage here, more so if you look at the various websites that cover it. After a while, it's becomes very easy to have no sympathy when you see the videos of how they kill themselves, and it becomes almost comforting knowing that another complete fucking idiot that should NOT be on the road in the first place won't be in the future. Sympathy is there for the innocents that so often get taken out as collateral damage though, of course.

Pretty much echoing the forum's view of your posts here, I'd say.

I would otherwise ask how on earth you can conclude that someone young, probably bored, driving too fast and crashing their car could only happen in Thailand.
