Russians claiming dirt on Trump in legal limbo

BANGKOK — No court date has been set for a Russian sex guru and Belarusian escort claiming to have compromising information about the US presidential election, police said Wednesday.
For a week, the pair has languished behind bars at the Bangkok Immigration Detention Center after they were arrested in Pattaya while giving “advanced sex” courses. They were charged with working in Thailand without a permit, an offense that could see them deported, but officials have yet to take any known actions so far.

‘Nastya Rybka’ could be coming home from Thailand

    Meduza News
    3rd April 2018

Anastasia Vashukevich and Alexander Kirillov, the Belarusian “sex trainers” better known as “Nastya Rybka” and “Alex Leslie,” have reportedly agreed to plead guilty to disrespecting the culture and religion of Thailand, the penalty for which is deportation and banishment from the country for at least 10 years.

Another five of the eight “sex tourists” arrested with Vashukevich and Kirillov have also decided to confess. Their trial could begin as soon as April 11, a lawyer defending Vashukevich and Kirillov told the news agency RIA Novosti.

Vashukevich and Kirillov are currently the targets of a lawsuit in Russia by billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who accuses the pair of divulging details of his private life without his permission. In August 2016, Deripaska invited Vashukevich onto his yacht, where she photographed him and Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Prikhodko in the company of several supposed “escorts.” Anti-corruption activist Alexey Navalny drew attention to the photos earlier this year, suggesting that Deripaska and Prikhodko may have discussed interference in the U.S. presidential election.

Thai Court Files New Charges against Detained Belarusian Woman

A self-described Belarusian sex coach who was entangled in a Russian political scandal has been cleared of charges she performed illegal work in Thailand, but will remain behind bars to face other charges that could put her in prison for up to 17 years, officials said Tuesday.

Anastasia Vashukevich, who says she had a brief affair with Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska, grabbed widespread media attention in February when she was arrested with nine other foreigners after Thai police raided their sex training course in Pattaya, south of Bangkok.

Police initially charged her and the nine others with working without a permit, but authorities early this month said all 10 had been charged with soliciting prostitution and conspiracy to form a crime syndicate. The two charges carry a combined maximum prison term of 17 years, legal experts said.

Three of the 10 foreigners were found guilty of working illegally and were each fined $100, police said. Two of the defendants have been deported, according to immigration officials, who declined to elaborate.

“I confirm that we have accused the remaining eight suspects with soliciting prostitution and conspiracy to form a crime syndicate,” Col. Apichai Krobpetch, chief of the Pattaya police station, told BenarNews by phone on Tuesday.

“Investigating officers have sought court permission for their remand and I hope we can file the case to the prosecutor within this week,” he said.

The 21-year-old Vashukevich, who has written a book about seducing billionaires, catapulted to fame in early February after Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny posted a 25-minute “ investigative report” on YouTube.

The video, which relies heavily on material from Vashukevich’s Instagram account, purportedly includes footage of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko, a longtime adviser to President Vladimir Putin, receiving lavish treatment on Deripaska’s yacht. Vashukevich and fellow detainee Aleksandr Kirillov are reportedly facing a lawsuit in Russia over the video.

Vashukevich, whose social media name is Nastya Rybka, describes herself as a model and sex coach. She has posted racy photos of herself online, including a few showing her cuddling with Deripaska.

Vashukevich and Kirillov appeared during the court hearing on Tuesday after being held incommunicado in an immigration jail in Pattaya.

The closed-door hearing was for the charge of working without a permit, which can carry fines and imprisonment of up to five years, legal experts said.

Apparently referring to the latest charges, Vashukevich yelled to reporters outside the court: “Because they close first case and open new one. For nothing. No evidence. Nothing.”

Why don't the authorities just hide here away and inform the media she was offered a new life abroad and took it. Seems to work elsewhere.

Billionaire Oleg Deripaska wins lawsuit against ‘sex trainers’ who allegedly linked him to Russian interference in 2016 U.S. election

The billionaire Oleg Deripaska has won his defamation lawsuit against Anastasia Vashukevich and Alexander Kirillov, the Belarusian “sex trainers” better known as “Nastya Rybka” and “Alex Leslie.” On Monday, a court in Krasnodar awarded Deripaska 500,000 rubles (almost $8,000) in emotional damages. Deripaska accused the two of illegally disclosing information about his private life without his consent.

Deripaska's lawyers had asked for 2 million rubles ($31,865) in damages. The court also ordered Vashukevich and Kirillov to delete from the Internet all videos, photos, and comments containing Deripaska's personal information. The hearing was closed to the public, and neither the defendants nor the plaintiff were present in court. The ruling takes effect in a month, if it isn't challenged in appellate court (which isn't likely, given that Vashukevich and Kirillov have been imprisoned in Thailand since February).

In August 2016, Deripaska invited Vashukevich onto his yacht, where she photographed him and then Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Prikhodko in the company of several supposed “escorts.” Anti-corruption activist Alexey Navalny drew attention to the photos earlier this year, suggesting that Deripaska and Prikhodko may have discussed interference in the U.S. presidential election.

In late February, Thai police arrested Vashukevich and Kirillov, along with eight other people, for “illegal business activities.” They’re charged with running a “sex training” workshop for tourists. They’re still in police custody. In May 2018’s government personnel shuffle, Prikhodko was demoted from deputy prime minister and Dmitry Medvedev’s chief of staff to Medvedev’s first deputy chief of staff.
