Chinese couple photo shoot no-no at temple crematorium

Chinese couple photo shoot no-no at temple crematorium-chinese-jpg

Pictures of Chinese couple taking their pre wedding photos at the crematorium at Chalong temple have gone viral among Thais social media users.

People are criticising the couple and their entourage about the inappropriateness of this photo location, showing a proposal with a man kneeing down in front of a woman in red bride dress right in front of the crematorium.

The user who posted these pictures explained with a caption “This is Phuket. Why don’t you go propose inside the burner! Even the crematorium is also a place for photo shoot? They do not know appropriateness.”

The comments also agreed the bad choice and suggested that temple should be free of this kind of activity.

However, there are some people commenting that the couple may not know what the place is and some also calling for government officials to do put up some signage.

    Why is it inappropriate?
Thai take photos of the crematorium whenever there is a cremation.
People take photos of the crematorium as part of tourism.
So, a tourist can pose on the steps for a tourist photo...no problem.
Photos, no problem. Standing on steps for photo, no problem. Posing for photo, no problem. Wear a red dress for photo, no problem.
Pose as if making a proposal, suddeny there's a problem.
There must be some reasoning there.
    Or must there? TIT.

I hope that was a poke at the OP subject who said it's innapproprite.

A photo in front of a building. Different buildings hold different omens?

    Of course they do.

How about if they'd picked a morgue?

Odd is thinking buildings have omens.

At least in my social circles (not counting the Thai neighbours, of course).

    ^ Class, all the way.

There's no mention of "outrage" in that quote. Nor is "outrage" suggested or implied. Criticising isn't the same as showing outrage or being outraged. I thought even you'd know that.

Of course they are - all four of them.
And only after it's been brought to their attention.

It's fairly obvious the chokes had no idea what the building was, so the fucking curtain twitchers that complained are obviously as thick as shit.

I was more disturbed by people shooting selfies with the body (or in front of the closed coffin) at the funerals I attended so far...
