BANGKOK, 12 January 2018 (NNT) - The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) inspected health products found to be mixed with controlled substance.

FDA Deputy Secretary General Dr. Poollarp Chanthawichitwong said the FDA has been continually monitoring and inspecting health products and collecting samples of health products claimed to treat erectile dysfunction and weight conditions before sending them to the Department of Medical Sciences for analysis to find out if they contain any toxic substances.

Twenty-eight health products claimed to treat erectile dysfunction and weight were found to be contaminated with controlled substances. People can check the necessary information before buying a health product on Oryor Smart Application or call the Hotline 1556.

He warned consumers not to buy medicines or food supplements from online traders, but should consult doctors or pharmacists first because these products may not be legal and, in many cases, over-advertised.
