Govt to increase number of starred Noo Nid food shops to 1,000 by 2018

BANGKOK, 10th December 2017 (NNT) – The Ministry of Commerce moved to raise the standard of its Noo Nid food shops, aiming at increasing number of the starred Noo Nid food shops to 1,000 nationwide by 2018.

The Internal Trade Department Director General Boonyarit Kallayanamit said the department has launched the Noo Nid food shop project since August 2014 to help reduce people's cost of living. This government’s scheme enables people to buy good quality and delicious foods at no more than 35 baht per dish.

There are now more than 13,400 Noo Nid shops across the country. The DIT targeted to increase number of the starred Noo Nid shops to 1,000 across the country in 2018.

Those interested in joining in this project can contact the DIT and or the Provincial Offices of Commerce, or call Hotline 1569 for more information.
