If you commit a minor criminal offence in Thailand, you will not face deportation
A minor offence is something that carries less than a six month jail term
If you commit a serious offence, something that carries more than a six month jail term. you will be liable for deportation . You can go up before a Judge and he will decide whether to deport you or not
Back to the rocking chair old timer

    dont be an idiot fluke.

they can do whatever they want with him, the actual law is irrelevant.

if the judge wants him deported, then he will be deported, whatever the sentence.

Visas can be revoked at anytime, if they consider you to be undesirable
But if you go through the normal Court process, you will not be considered for deportation for a minor offence

A Judge cannot deport him, its the ministry of the Interior that does the deportation
You can then appeal and go before a Judge to get the ruling over turned
A judge cannot pass a sentence of deportation

She must have been pretty rough to fall for him, she puts him up in her loom, I bet he treated her to some fine wining and dining.

You are too stupid to understand
The ministry of Interior will carry out the deportation process, you can then appeal, go before a Judge and he will decide whether to uphold the deportation or not.
What I meant was that a Judge cannot pass a sentence of deportation, he can only either uphold it or dismiss it

if the judge should take a dislike to the foreigner, he can spitefully pass a sentence of over 6 months, and that would automatically get him deported when he came out of jail.

Judges had to abide by sentencing rules .
Minimum and maximum sentences for offences .
I dont think that 6 months + jail term carries an automatic deportation, thats at the discretion of the Ministry of the Interior
But less than six months jail and they will not consider carrying out a deportation
There are other situations where Visas can be revoked though , fake passports or whatever

judges abide by their own rules.

how come some people get 60 years for fraud, whilst others get 12 months for similar levels of fraud.
