Khao Kheow Open Zoo unveils Forest of Asia

CHONBURI, 11 August 2017 (NNT) - Khao Kheow Open Zoo has unveiled a new display zone called Forest of Asia.

In his opening speech, Director of the Thailand Zoological Park Organization Benchapol Nakprasert said Khao Kheow Open Zoo serves as a model of zoo management. He also believed that the new Forest of Asia zone will raise awareness among zoo-goers of the importance of wildlife and forest conservation.

The new zone offers visitors the opportunity to get a closer look at rare animals, such as the Himalayan marten, black giant squirrel, grey-shanked douc, Siamese fireback and false gharial.

Forest of Asia also boasts an educational exhibition area that informs zoo patrons about the wildlife and forests of Thailand and Asia.

But you can see all the creatures running wild without having to go to a zoo.
