Russian Tourist Drowns Off Jomtien Beach

A 56-year-old Russian tourist drowned on Friday afternoon at Jomtien Beach, according to local news reports.

Rescue volunteers and police arrived at the scene, opposite soi 4, at 3.40pm to find lifeguards and a female foreign tourist attempting to revive the unnamed man.

Medics took over and administered CPR, however, they found no pulse and rushed the Russian to hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Further details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
