Thai authorities are now seeking cooperation from Myanmar authorities to detain and repatriate a Myanmar suspected maid after she stole her Thai employer's valuables and cash and escaped.

The suspect identified by her boss as 30-year-old Khin Myint oo Pu fled with cash, diamond and jewelry amounted to almost seven million baht after she was employed to work for less than three days.

According to the complaint filed by her employer Thanapak Jiradchdamrong, managing director of Alcotec Co Ltd, with Bukalo police station, on December 12, the Myanmar maid was recruited by an employment firm and sent to work at his home on December 10.

But on the third morning, she asked permission from his parents to visit her boyfriend who she said was hospitalised after a car accident.

She was permitted and left his home with two plastic bags and never returned since then.

After he returned from office, he went to his bedroom and found something unusual happened.

He could not find the key of a cupboard where the diamonds and jewelries, cash in Euro money and Baht were kept.

He then used a duplicated key to open the cupboard and discovered all the valuables inside have gone.

According to police, they are looking for the maid and have alerted all border checkpoints to look for the maid.

Latest report said authorities have detected the mobile phone signal of the Myanmar maid at Mae Sot yesterday.

By Thursday morning the signal was detected as Myawaddy in Myanmar.

Authorities are now seeking cooperation from Myanmar authorities to detain the suspect and and her back for theft charge.
