German Has Car Smashed by Renegade Pattaya Parking Attendant

At 9pm, on the evening of November 17, Pattaya police were called to Soi 7, Pattaya, after reports of criminal damage.

The complaint came from Mr Nikholai Kowkaew, a forty-eight year old German national, who made a statement claiming his dark blue Toyota Sport Rider had been damaged by a Thai man.

Mr Korkaew, speaking through a translator, said that he had parked his car in a public area and shortly afterwards was approached in a bar by an angry Thai man, claiming to be the parking attendant, who demanded 100 baht.

Not unusual scam by the local untermensch. There is no such thing as a " free " parking space in Pattaya and certainly not one available to a farang. He's lucky he wasn't the target of the rock since the offender who fails to pay the " fee" is usually beaten up but in most instances the victims are generally older chaps and quite frail so I suppose this particular chickenhead thug thought better of it given the kraut's size and youth - local scum here are pretty much the same as chickenhead dross everywhere else in this awful country.

They spell it as Mr Kokaew later in the article.

I would guess that there is a Thai doing the transliteration.

    Not a fight.

Vandalizing and damaging another's vehicle because they would not pay you money that you have no right to.

I see it quite a lot in Thailand. A Thai feels that Westerners owe them, based on the belief that Westerners have money for nothing and the Thai doesn't.

I'd like to see what would have happened if it was a Thai's Benz. If he would have gotten angry and demanded parking money.

Of course not, as he would have been beaten unconscious with a rock, brick, or whatever hard movable object was at hand.

Just in case you didn't know: "You do have the same pedigree descended !"

By the way, I don't think anyone went to Pattaya...ahemmm....sorry... I meant Dachau, Bergen-Belsen, Ravensbruck, Buchenwald, Auschwitz and Flossenberg voluntarily. I'am sure they would have chosen a different resort.

My old Thai boss had their car damaged in such a way by a motosai taxi rider.

They were going into a restaurant, parked outside and a motosai taxi guy told them to move. They refused went in to eat, came back out there was a big rock on the car bonnet which was dented and damaged from it being thrown down on it.

A lot of Thais have issues when not getting their own way, or when they demand something and are refused.
