Never elected President. Issue never resolved...indeed, never addressed in other than opinion pieces.
The constitution does not explicitly mention being born on American territory. A child born of American parents is a "natural born citizen" if you think about it.

And you'd think if it was an issue, people wouldn't have given Cruz or McCain a gazillion dollars to run for President.

Therein the problem. Ambiguous language, open to interpretation, which has never been resolved legally or constitutionally. And probably won't be until it becomes a presidential election issue.

I would have thought running in a Presidential election *was* a Presidential election issue.

Mind you, with the supreme court we have at the moment, they'd probably rule out someone born in California as not being a "natural born citizen" if they were delivered by caesarean....

You'd think so, but it wasn't an issue to the point of ever being resolved...or even seriously addressed.

It's not native speaker Thai but not bad for someone who doesn't appear to have spent a lot of time in Thailand.

I thought it was already resolved. Wasn't a Kenyan recently elected as President?

    Indeed.
Appears to speak with a distinctive Farang twist - not a native speaker. I dare to say not even Thai [mindset/understanding]
    Thai/American [whatever that is].......

If the average born-in-Thailand female possessed the cognitive processing skills, on the level of Tammy, then what a wonderful farang world (of Thailand), it would be.
