Lightning transfer of five senior Khok Kram police officers after casino raid by sold

The commissioner of the Royal Thai Police today ordered the immediate transfer of five senior police officers of Khok Kram police station in Bangkok after a raid of a major casino in which over 100 gamblers were arrested by soldiers yesterday afternoon.

The lightning removal by the commissioner Pol Gen Chaktip Chaijinda ordered the five officers to report to the RTP Operation Command Centre by 2.00 pm today.

The five include Khok Kram police superintendent Pol Col Suriya Nakkaeo and his deputy superintendent Pol Lt Col Komsapat Tongkamnitivarakul, chief detective Pol Lt Col Panupong Jindaluang, chief crime suppression officer Pol Lt Col Somkiat Duangmarl, and deputy detective Pol Capt Yongyut Sanbunsiri.

Yesterday a team of 52 soldiers from the First Army Region’s First Infantry Regiment encircled a marketplace on Soi Ramindra 14 in Bang Khen which is under the jurisdiction of the Khok Kram police station after receiving complaints from the people that an influential casino is operating in the place.

A total of 119 gamblers were rounded up, comprising 83 women and 36 men.

A number of gambling equipments were seized.

But what soldiers said it is a big casino because it has a kitchen that is used to service gamblers around the clock. The casino was said to own by a politician.

Until this country's law enforcement authorities can name and shame important people and bring them to justice, it will never reach it's economic and democratic potential.

That's the most obvious sign that a casino is a casino?

Heaven forbid that a Thai politician could possibly be involved in activities other than political with the protection of senior police officers.

Third world country with third world values and no meaningful rule of law.

No but it is a sign that the casino is big.
I know some Thais who are running errands for a smaller casino and you should see what the punters order when it is paid for by the house.
They want to drink Black Label - they get Black Label.
It's all about keeping the punters there as long as possible.
