Thread: Korean woman found dead on Patong beach

A Korean woman was found dead at Patong beach in Phuket early this morning.

It was not immediately known the cause of death of the woman, identified later as Miss Hong Ga Ram, 28, but the first people who saw her said her body was almost naked with only her black bra slipping up around the neck.

There was no other evidence at the scene found to identify who she was.

Police said the body might be washed ashore on the Patong beach.

She booked into a beach hotel nearby with a boyfriend.

However the Korean man was not in the room and believed missing.

Police initially suspected the Korean couple might go swimming at night while there was rain last night and both might be drowned.

Search on the beach late today still could not locate the man.

But the body of the woman was sent to Patong hospital for autopsy to find the exact cause of death.
