Debt Collector Pays With Life in Motorcycle Crash on Phuket Curve

PHUKET: A debt-collector from a neighboring province appeared to have been speeding when his motorcycle crashed and he broke his neck last night, police said today.

''He was wearing a helmet but that did not save him,'' Lieutenant Thanom Thongpan, from Tachatchai Police Station, told Phuketwan.

The man crashed through road works into a ditch on a sharp bend in Thepkasattri Road as he headed back to Krabi about 7.50pm, Lieutenant Thanom said. Police found 42,000 baht in his possession, which they believe included the debt he had collected in Phuket Town earlier in the day.

Relatives collected his body from Thalang Hospital to take back to Krabi.

^ the police were probably waiting for him with a rope across the road, hence the broken neck...

What happened to the other guy? They come in two's. One drives the other looks after the money. I wouldn't imagine they'd separate until the money had been handed over to the head honcho.

Cant subscribe to that one mate ,, you borrow the money , you pay it back , simple same principle as direct debits going out , if more people were to live within they're means instead of trying to lead a life they cannot afford ,,,,
