A Russian tourist who went missing while snorkeling off Koh Larn in Pattaya two days ago was found washed ashore on the island on Tuesday.
Pattaya police and rescue workers from Sawangboriboon Pattaya Foundation were rushed to Sam beach on Koh Larn to examine the body of a Caucasian man who was believed to be the missing Russian tourist, 47-year old Roman Makarov.
A goggle was still on the face of the victim who was in his green swimming trunk.
Police said that Makarov and his Russian girlfriend visited Koh Larn last Saturday and he went snorkeling off the island and went missing.
Police said that the victim might suffer from cramps and drowned.
However, the body was sent to the Police Hospital in Bangkok for an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.
