    Insurance executive shot by husband

Muang Thai Insurance managing director Mrs Kritaya Lamsam was shot dead by her Swiss husband Friday night at their luxury condominium room on Soi Narathiwat 7 in Sathorn area.
The husband, Reto Castellazzi, 54, later shot himself with the same pistol in a suicide after shooting his wife to death, Thung Mahamek police investigator said.

The incident happened at about 9.30 p.m.

Police said both had a heated quarrel before one shot was heard from inside the room.

But their maid, Mrs Ngad, told police that both had normal morning exercise outside and also had breakfast together on the table with no sign they would have any quarrel.

However in the night she heard a shot while was ironing their clothes but did not take care as she thought it was a firecracker explosion. It was until a tenant on the third floor came down to ask if she heard gunshots inside the room of the couple.

She then opened the room to find that both were shot. She then alerted the guard and the police.

The presumed link between mental disorder and violence has been the driving force behind mental health law and policy for centuries
