BANGKOK, 23 July 2014 (NNT) -The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operatives Research Center (BAACRC) reveals that a survey conducted with Thai farmers has shown more happiness amongst farmers. The happiness level is rated as 'maximized' after the farmers were paid for their rice pledges.
The BAACRC Director Apiradee Yimlamai said that according to the survey conducted with 2,346 respondents selected from Thai farmers across the country during 18 30 June on the subject of Thai farmers happiness level, it found that the overall happiness of Thai farmers is 3.10 points out of 4 points, which is an increaswa of 78.51%. The farmers happiness is rated from six perspectives including family life (3.41 points), health (3.21 points), society (3.20 points), work (3.14 points), health (2.85 points) and eagerness to learn (2.74 points). Moreover, it was found that fruit farmers have the highest average happiness level comparing to the rest.
In addition, the happiness increased by 88.6% after farmers were paid for their pledges as they have greater financial resources for their spending and further investments.
