Mark shows remorse. Too little to late.

    Hint Mark!

Don't apologise for failing to push for reforms. Apologise for boyctting election and being a fool tool.

I have some respect for the military. I don't agree but they do what they have to do.

This piece of low life Abhisit ...

It doesn't matter, nobody expects any truth from any leader right now. They say what suits them for the moment, each aware so much is happening that they won't be pinned down on a single lie, esp one that is subjective and therefore plausibly defended.

    Dunno.

There are reports on the web (go look for them), that straight after Prayuth said (basically), Ok, I am done with you lot and I am taking control, the leaders of the dems were put in the same room as the PT leadership (that was there) - (interesting, as Prayuth put the politicals in one room, the rabble rousers separately). Anyway, apparently Abehsit turned to the PT leadership and said "I told you so". They told him to f*ck right off.

I probably think Abehsit did try to warn them that unless some settlement was reached, the army would step in, and they ignored him.

Despite the vitrol, I think abehsit was a well meaning man, who just got crushed by grind stones that were a lot, lot bigger than he was. Sad really.

His actions have defined him, not whether he may or may not have been a 'good man'... He pulled out of 2 elections; forcing coups both times, he allowed the army to shoot innocent protesters and have 'live fire zones' while he was pm, he supported the PAD when they took over the airport and put kasit in his cabinet, even though given every advantage, he lost elections, he developed no policies and ruined his party. But he was a 'good man'...

My rumour network say the next "figurehead" is already selected. Forget the name. Dr someone - a very, very staunch loyalist.

    Time will tell.

Now boo. "well meaning" is what I said, and I also clearly said that he was probably subjected to much greater forces than he could control.

They're all fake Doctor this or Doctor that.. part of the MO of this clown-like caste system. Undoubtedly all puffed up in a white uniform with lots of meaninglessly awarded medals pinned to it, wife with big hair standing next to him. Both wearing the little pointy golden medallion of the left breast..

    Kapoom..

Abhisit is a god man and perhaps the best Prime Minister this country has had. He understands how good government works and given time would oversee reforms ensuring some separation of powers.

I know most here only understand slogans and think in contrived compartments suiting their prejudices but if one was to cast around for competent parliamentarians capable of organizing good governance then the short list is indeed short .

    Abhisit is the man.

The last election was there for the taking where the Dems are concerned, they failed at a whimper.

Abhisit may be a good man, he may even be a good politician, but he's no leader. Especially not for Thai politics where the opposition like to play dirty.

This is true, but he went along with it, he made choices.

^That chick is a prominent crime scene forensics expert. Would be strangely fitting if she got the job.

How about Dr. Seri, the fat loud-mouthed ladyboy? This country needs a sassy leader.

She also jumped on the scanner bandwagon which was finally exposed for the world to see when the culprits in the UK got long prison sentences for their fraud.

Even the yanks were surprised and dismayed by her actions which they found incomprehensible. All in wiki leaks if you care to delve. No one in this country seems to have any integrity.

Wasn't Abhisit the fellow who ordered the murder of many Red Shirts during 2010? I read somewhere that the new Criminal-in-Chief was involved in that bloodbath.

When do these people lose all respect for coup leaders & stool-pigeon faux politicians?

He was the PM at the time, it was supposed to have been suthep that signed the order, and prayuth that got the 'live firing zones' active.

Nobody ordered the "murder" of anyone.

The reds were burning down bangkok and an order was given to use live rounds as nothing else was working. A handful (relatively speaking) of relentless protesters were killed and that led to the end of the troubles at that point.
