Corrected that for ya...
FFS though, he's distraught and talking about suicide and they just leave him in the house he doesn't own anymore? Surprised the key still opens the locks and did they leave him a length of rope to keep down the paper work too I wonder? If I were him there'd be a nice bond fire on the moo ban tonight...

It is/was not a false declaration. The gift has been rescinded following the divorce. Proof is required that the gift was made (ie money was transferred from abroad) but there is no wrong-doing.Originally Posted by jamescollister

I have already successfully managed to get the family land back from the ex-wife and had it shared between the rest of the family.
Yes right it is not a false declaration as long as you don't make a claim on the land via the civil code.
Good luck to you, but check and double check everything.
We / wife have over 100 rai of land and that would be settled through the family court.
I have signed nothing and made no claims on the land through the civil code, meaning I have in no way attempted to gain control of the lands thus breaching the land code. Not signed a declaration that the money was a gift, money came from my wife's Australian bank account.
Would I get anything in a contested divorce, 2 kids, probably my back pack and bus fair out.
Not getting divorce in this life, so no worries and sure out here in the boonies, it would be a 9 mil in the back of the head well before that. Jim

Some of us who engage with Thai ladies are mentally wired NOT to fall foul of Thai legalities but sadly, for them and there are many who rush into things in a pussy whipped moment of their life.
The farang is always on the back burner here and although many on this thread show no mercy, i feel sorry for the guy for his ignorance of Thai legalities.
Sorry is not the word I would use, feel sorry for someone that never had a chance in life, feel sorry for some one hit by a car or got sick.
Can't feel sorry for a fool, he must have had money and would he have given a girl that money and a house in Europe, think not.
Sad to see a man lose everything that he worked for, but he was probably told many times, step carefully.
Will feel sorry for those that lose everything from no fault of their own, but a grown man is responsible for his on fate. Jim
