Three underage girls were caught working at the Nui’s Club 2 A Go Go on Walking Street by police. The 28-year-old bar manager was arrested after a 16-year-old dancer was made available for sex with an undercover agent. Police also found two other 17-year-old female workers.
PATTAYA – March 15, 2013 [PDN]; the arrest of a Walking Street bar manager for employing underage girls was announced by Pol. Maj. Gen. Chawalit Swangpuech, commander of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division (AHTD); Pol. Col. Angkul Klaiklueng; Pol. Col. Worapong Thongpaibul, vice commander of AHTD; Pol. Col. Yutthaphum Panlainark, director 2; and the detective team.
The suspect was identified as Ms. Wanlapa Klansang, 28 years old, from Chonburi. She is the manager of “Nui’s Club 2 Go Go” number 21, moo10, Walking Street. Ms. Wanlapa was charged with human trafficking by receiving benefit through prostitution from a person over age 15 but under 18 years old.
The police arrested Ms. Wanlapa in the bar after an undercover agent was sent to entrap her, by pretending to buy a girl who was one of the dancers, who was 16 years old. After the arrest, police checked further and found two more underage girls working at the go-go, both of them 17 years old.
During questioning, Ms. Wanlapa said she just became the manager only two months ago, so she did not know that the go-go had dancers under 18 years old.
After she became the manager, there were some girls who came to apply for jobs, and she checked their ages and found that they were under age 18, so she did not hire them.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Chawalit said that the detectives will investigate and question the victims further, and if they mention anyone else was involved, they will be prosecuted. Meanwhile, the bar manager was sent to the detectives to prosecute, and the police commander said he would give justice to everyone.

They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar

Gee, what a surprise to find under 18 year olds at a go go? Not only the manager is to blame. Parents who send their daughter to BKK or Pattaya, to be able to send money home are to blame. I live in a village where girls going to BKK or Pattaya is a "life line". They know what the poor girl needs to do, they don't care as long as she brings in the money! Shocking, yes for me.
If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough.
