Posted on February 2, 2013 at 2:49 pm

In a joint operation involving Chonburi Immigration and Nongprue Police, raids of two houses in East Pattaya took place on Friday afternoon after Police received a tip-off that the house were being used for drugs parties.

Armed with search warrants issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court, officers raided the houses and found more than they had expected with evidence suggesting both locations were also being used as illegal call centers. Evidence of on-line gambling was also found and collated for evidential purposes.

A search of the houses took place and a small quantity of blue and white tablets were found which could not initially be identified. They are currently being tested. Two of the Singaporeans, Mr. Edwin Huang Kwaisi aged 28 and Mr. Chan Mun Keong aged 25 were given a presumptive drugs test which they subsequently failed.

Computer sets and many mobile phones which were checked and found to have received many international calls within the last 24 hours were also seized and taken into evidence. A Bank Book in the name of a Thai Man was also found which showed Millions of Baht being transferred in and out over a short period.

The investigation is on-going as Police look further into what they discovered in both houses.
