Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit Thupkrachang, the city police chief, announced the arrest of Nawin Chuenchob, 18, and his accomplice, a minor aged 16 (name withheld), at the Bangkok Metropolitan Police headquarters.
“These youths drove around on a motorcycle and attacked their victims with a samurai-style sword and fled with their valuables,” Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit told reporters.
Some of the victims were seriously injured, he said. One of the victims was a 40 year-old woman.
He said investigators tracked thre youths down and arrested them in Samut Prakan province.

Both suspects have previous criminal records and served sentences for several robberies.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar
