Pattaya - Foreigner Dies in Tops Supermarket

    Foreigner Dies in Tops Supermarket

Many shoppers and staff at Tops Supermarket, Pattaya 2nd Road, were shocked to see a foreigner convulse and tremble in the middle of the supermarket on 30th March – just a little after midnight
the police arrived; they found a foreigner; Mr. Klaus Schneider, aged 67, a German, lying with his face down to the floor. He had no injuries on his body but he had a lot of yellow water coming out of his mouth.
Mr. Schneider had 800 Baht on him and some medicine from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
The staff at the store who saw what happened stated that this foreigner was putting sausages into his cart and then started convulsing before he fell down to knock his head on the floor in front of many shoppers. He ran over to help but it was too late; the man had died.
The police think that Mr. Schneider must have a chronic sickness and his body was sent for autopsy to find the cause of death.

Wonder if anyone could imagine that he may have experienced an allergic reaction to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya medicine?

If so, the records will either vanish or be dusted off for revision.

I think these old farangs that come to Pattaya should pay a premium, these old gits keep dieing in these nice places, just think how the locals feel about going into Tops Supermarket now after seeing some sex crazed farang dieing in there and now he is haunting it, I think in the future due to American influence it wont be long before we see Thai familys suing the families of the dead farangs for this sort of selfish unpleasantness.

Ailing German Suffers Fit While Shopping And Dies

AILING GERMAN SUFFERS FIT WHILE SHOPPING AND DIES

At the Grocery Department on the Ground Floor of Top’s Supermarket at 12.30 am on 30th March, a disabled German national, Mr. Klaus Adolf Schneider was shopping when he was suddenly taken ill and suffered a fit
Mr. Metha Chaihongseesuk (33) from Bangkok who works in the store saw the foreigner making his way around the store with the aid of a walking stick and became concerned because of his slow gait and apparent ill-health. When Mr. Klaus suddenly fell to the ground, Mr. Metha attempted to administer first aid, but he was unable to help and the customer started to froth at the mouth and started convulsing. The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team were called, but were unable to help Mr. Klaus who, unfortunately, subsequently died.

    Editor’s Comment

It appears many foreigners, especially elderly ones, come to Thailand suffering from various ailments from which they frequently die. Thais in a similar condition are never allowed to go outside unaccompanied. It might help if ailing foreigners were also accompanied by carers on their external jaunts, then the fatality rate among foreigners might diminish somewhat.

Furthermore, if single ailing or drunk foreigners become incapacitated and fall over on the street, especially in a remote location, they could easily be robbed or even killed. If they had someone to accompany and look after them, such incidents would be unlikely to occur. Accordingly, foreigners in a less than fit condition should take a leaf out of the Thais’ book and never leave their accommodation alone, especially after dark.
