Pattaya Beauty Shop Owner Raped And Killed


A 46-year-old beauty shop owner who lived alone in the back of her shop was raped and killed in her bedroom by an intruder. Police suspect a lone assailant had broken in through the back door of the shop after crossing the roof deck of a nearby building.

On January 11, 2013, at 12:30 a.m., a report of a woman being raped and killed in Techaban Beauty shop was received by Pol. Sub. Lt. Manote Thipvech, investigation police on duty, Banglamung police station, Chonburi province.

He went to inspect the scene with Pol. Maj. Gen. Katcha Thartsart, Commander, Chonburi province; Pol. Col. Supphachai Phuikaewkham, Superintendent; Pol. Col. Chatchaphol Phattarasiriporn, expert investigation officer; Pol. Lt. Col. Jakkarin Tuasupharp, Deputy Superintendent; Pol. Lt. Col. Theeradech Masthanaphan, Deputy Superintendent; Pol. Lt. Col. Nit Vithinanthakit, Inspector; with the detective police team; the police of proving for evidence 2 (Chonburi); and the rescue officer of Sawangboribultharmmasatharn Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred at the shop located at address 244/5-6 on the side of Sukhumvit road, entrance side to Pattaya, Bann Rongpoh, Moo 1 Tambon Banglamung, Amphur Banglamung.

The beauty shop, which also sells beauty products, is located on the first floor of a 3-story building. At the scene, many local people were standing around and watching.

In the bedroom on mezzanine floor, police found the body of Ms. Wimol Techaban, age 46, the owner of the shop, from Tambon Wattananakorn, Amphur Wattananakorn, Sakaew province.

She was lying on her back on the floor. She wore a violet T-shirt and a skirt nightgown that was opened to her belly. Police found evidence that she had been forcibly raped, and had bled a lot. Her neck had green bruises, indicating that she had been strangled. Police estimated that she had been dead between 4 to 5 hours.

The victim’s purse was missing, and police searching the bedroom found a 1 knit wool hat and a pack of LM brand cigarettes, which might have belonged to the rapist murderer.

At the back door of house, police also found a tool to pry open doors, which they kept for evidence. The police evidence officers dusted for the fingerprints, and also collected hairs and semen samples on the victim to inspect for DNA as evidence to arrest the suspect.

Police questioned Mrs. Wanna Phoomkaew, age 47, the maid of K.S. Manufactory Co., located close to the beauty shop.

She told police that Ms. Wimol didn’t have a husband or family, and she lived at the shop alone. Mrs. Wanna said she had not seen Ms. Wimol open her shop yet. So she shouted to ask her whether Ms. Wimol wanted to eat some food or not, because Ms. Wimol always let her buy food for her.

But there was no reply, even after she called out to Ms. Wimol for a long time. So she informed Ms. Wimol’s relatives, who walked to the back of the shop, and found that the door was open. So they walked to the bedroom on the mezzanine floor, and found the body of Ms. Wimol.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Katcha Thartsart revealed that the murderer may be a nearby construction worker or laborer. He might have broken into the victim’s bedroom in the morning by climbing across the roof deck of the nearby building, then levered open the door to steal property. But Ms. Wimol woke up to see the thief, so he raped her and then strangled her.

The police general commanded the detective police team to follow up to arrest the suspect, because the murder was a serious offense that made people frightened.

So if the people weren't frightened, then they would just forget about it..

She was raped and then murdered. However, before the rapist/murder left, he replaced her shorts ?

It's a dress. Only looks like shorts because of the way it's arranged.
Also possible that the BIB carefully pulled it down slightly to make her look slightly decent.

Suspect caught in Pattaya Beauty Salon murder case

The suspected murderer of a Beauty Salon owner has been arrested by Banglamung Police. The case dates back to 11th January when Police were called to the Beauty Salon on the Sukhumvit Road in the far northern outskirts of Pattaya.

On the mezzanine floor of the salon was the body of Khun Wimon aged 46 who had been sexually assaulted and strangled to death.

On Thursday a press conference was held at Banglamung Police Station led by Police Major General Katcha, the Provincial Police Commander, to announce the arrest of the suspected murderer, named as Khun Tiwanon aged 21. He was arrested in Nakhon Panom Province in the North-East of Thailand on the strength of an arrest warrant issued on Wednesday by the Pattaya Provincial Court.

When he arrived in Pattaya he was taken to the scene of the crime to take part in a reconstruction which nearly ended in a riot as residents wanted to provide their own version of justice for the suspect. He went through the entire incident and later confirmed that he lived next door to the salon and in the early hours of 11th January he returned home after spending the night at a local karaoke Bar. He claimed to be heavily intoxicated and revealed how he walked up to the top floor of his building and jumped over to the roof of the Salon. He noticed the roof door was open and decided to enter the building. When he reached the mezzanine floor, he saw the owner asleep and approached her. She awoke and tried to fight off the suspect who proceeded to sexually assault her and then strangle her to death.

Khun Tiwanon claimed he had no intention of stealing anything from the salon and further claimed his emotions combined with excessive drinking earlier in the night took over and caused him to assault the victim.
He has been charged with murder and will be held on-remand pending Court proceedings.

200 cops protect suspect from mob

CHON BURI – Two hundred officers were deployed to prevent a vengeful mob from harming a man charged with murder and rape, police said on Thursday.

Police said Tiwanon Boonruang, 21, was arrested in connection with the rape and murder of Vimon Taechaban, a 46-year-old beauty clinic owner, last Friday.

About 100 people, including the victim's relatives and friends, constantly yelled and cursed the man while he was re-enacting the crime.

Mr Tiwanon confessed to the police that he was drunk and wanted sex. He sneaked into the victim's bedroom and raped her. The man said he was afraid that the woman might tell other people so he killed her.

Police said the man fled the province but was tracked down and arrested in Nakhon Pathom province.
