Police say taxi driver Supong Sriaram, 32, hanged himself in a storeroom last night, and his wife found his body at 7am this morning.
Mr Supong's wife, Perama Sriaram, said normally the couple sleep in the same bedroom, but last night he asked to sleep alone in the storeroom. She thought nothing of it, and let him stay alone.
This morning when she woke up to go to work, she went to wake her husband but found he had hanged himself.
She told police her husband got stressed very easily, and was often depressed. He often avoided expressing his feelings to his family, she said.
He also had liver cancer, which resulted in months spent in the hospital for treatment, she said, but she had no idea why he chose to commit suicide.
The couple have two young children – a son and a daughter.
