Police Colonel Somnook gathered journalists for a press conference in front of the cell block at the rear of Banglamung Police Station on Monday afternoon to announce the arrest of Khun Chaiyawat aged 20 at his family home in Naklua. The Colonel also revealed the sad news of the 15 year old victim’s death after doctors were unable to remove a bullet lodged inside his brain. Following a detailed investigation and collation of witness accounts, Police were confident they had enough evidence to arrest the suspect and successfully applied to the Pattaya Provincial Court for an arrest warrant which was issued earlier on Monday. Police were also able to seize the Pink Yamaha Fino thought to have been used by the shooter. Despite the evidence, Khun Chaiyawat vehemently denies involvement and also claims it was not his pink Yamaha Fino which was used. The Courts will now decide the fate of the suspect in this murder case.
