Over 300,000 Baht in misplaced bag handed to Police by local Art Shop owner.
Khun Mana aged 30 is the owner of an art shop on Pattaya Beach Road and on Thursday Afternoon he was inside the Royal Garden Plaza when he spotted a small bag which appeared to have been left by someone on the counter of the True-Move Shop. He opened the bag and found cash totaling 10,000 Swiss Francs which equates to 285,000 Baht and a small quantity of Thai currency. Khun Mana decided to take the bag straight to the Police Station where he was offered assistance by the Police to track down the owner of the bag. Inside a wallet Police found a Key Card belonging to the Marriott Resort and Spa which should make it easy for Police to track down the owner of the bag. We spoke with Khun Mana who mentioned that he had previously found another bag in Bangkok with 500,000 Baht cash inside. On that occasion he handed the bag to an information point inside the shopping center where the bag was found, but this time he decided to go straight to the Police to ensure that the money will be in safe hands. We commend Khun Mana on his actions and we hope that whoever owns the bag shows their appreciation to Khun Mana for his honesty and integrity.
