    As if.

Sek remains popular, albeit past his audience & (probably) creative peak. Grammy just did the old 'cover your arse' chicken run in two faced siam- although when it comes to drugs, all of our countries are two faced. He'll have no problem getting another recording contract.

Rocker Organized Mini Concert After Drug Rehabilitation

    UPDATE : 5 January 2012

After singer Sek Loso entered treatment for his drug habit, his ex-wife disclosed that his condition has improved.

Now, he organized a mini concert for doctors and nurses at the center and is writing new songs for his fans.

After singer Seksan Sukpimai, more commonly known as Sek Loso, has publicly admitted to using narcotics and admitted himself for treatment voluntarily.

He entered treatment for his drug habit at the Thanyarak Institute in Pathum Thani's Thanyaburi District.

His ex-wife, Kan Wipakorn recently posted a message on Facebook saying that Sek's condition has improved after a week of treatment.

Since Sek badly wants to return home and the doctor prohibits visitors, Kan brought an electronic piano, CDs, and a guitar to the center for Sek to use for relaxation.

She further disclosed that Sek is now writing new songs for another album for his fans during his rehabilitation.

On the other hand, Sek's manager, Pornpimon Theppichai, disclosed that Sek's condition has improved, and that Sek's life is going on normally in the center.

She went on to say that in addition to writing songs, Sek organized a mini concert, singing his songs for doctors, nurses, and other patients for their relaxation.

It's expected that Sek will need six months of treatment.

I hope he gets over the problem.

If his ex is still in touch with him and cares, he's on a winner.

    Sek on road to reform
    12/02/2012

Sek Loso on high road to recovery Rocker Sek Loso is back home with his family, after the hospital where he was being treated for drug addiction decided to release him as an out-patient.

    Sek Loso.

Sek reunited with his estranged wife and children on Friday at the Thanyarak Institute in Pathum Thani, where the rocker admitted himself for treatment late last year.

Earlier in the week he visited temples on a day trip to Ayuthaya, as hospital officials who accompanied him assessed his suitability to re-enter society. He was accompanied by his mother, lawyer and a carer from Thanyarak.

At the hospital on Friday, an assortment of government and hospital bigwigs turned out before the media to relaunch Sek into the world, saying he had set an example to other Thais struggling with drugs.

Among the phuyai who turned out to give their blessing to a reformed Sek _ and promote the government's anti-drugs campaign _ were Justice Minister Pracha Promnok, Public Health Minister Wittaya Buranasiri, former army chief and adviser to the PM Chaisit Shinawatra, justice secretary Thirachai Wutthitham, and institute director Wirot Wirachai.

Gen Chaisit said huge numbers of Thais had contacted authorities wanting to go drugs-free after talking inspiration from Sek's example.

Mr Thirachai said Sek was now 90% back to normal. Sek had agreed to present an anti-drugs campaign, he said.

Sek said he was willing to gamble with his life that he would never go back to taking drugs.

"If you love Sek Loso, and you are on drugs, please seek help," he said.

Such was the poor state of his health when he arrived at the hospital, nurses bound his hands together on his first night.

"It was a strange feeling, and made me feel guilty that I had abandoned myself to drugs for so long," he said.

When he woke every day, he would have to take exercise.

"They made me play football. We had no choice _ but it did me good," he said.

He also joined group therapy sessions, sharing his experiences with other patients. He bonded with the place so much that he now regards Thanyarak as a second home.

"I wrote 20 songs while I was in care, but I was unable to compose any to woo the nurses, as they all have boyfriends already," he joked.

Turning to his family, whom he embraced tearfully as reporters looked on, Sek said his drugs habit almost drove them apart.

"I'm not willing to risk losing my wife or children again. My job is to look after them. I may not be the best husband or father in the world, but I'm not the worst either," he said.

Sek's estranged wife, Wiphakorn "Kan" Sukpimai, started the Sek drugs saga rolling when she published pictures of Sek smoking methamphetamines.

She said on Friday she was delighted Sek had turned over a new leaf.

Kan, who presented him with a bunch of flowers, said she was willing to forgive him everything, except his dalliances with other women.

While he was willing to accept him for a visit back home, they would have to talk together "at length" if he wanted to reunite as a family.

In response to Kan's revelations, Sek went before the media to admit taking drugs, which he said help fuel his creativity as an artist. He now denies that artists need to take drugs to improve their work.

He also admitted having many women in his life, including his manager, Pornpimon "Aom" Thephichai.

His music label, Grammy Entertainment, cancelled its contract with the rock star.

Sek said he intends to visit Grammy now that he has been released. He is confident the record label will let him back into the fold.

Police are also interested in hearing from Sek about who supplied him with his drugs.

When the gathering at Thanyrak ended, Sek accompanied his wife and children back home.

I was going to say maybe a happy ending - but how about 'maybe a recovery for all? Sek, his fans - and his family'?

Sek Loso reports to ONCB, vows to stay off drugs
    February 16, 2012

Rock star Seksan "Sek Loso" Sukpimai, accompanied by his lawyer, reported to the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) secretary-general Adul Saengsingkaew Thursday after postponing the meeting twice on grounds of undergoing drug rehabilitation.

Admitting that he had been addicted to drugs for the past eight years, Seksan said that while undergoing treatment he realised that he depended more on drugs than he thought. He said he had undergone the initial phase of the treatment and was now allowed to stay at home, though he has to continue with followup treatment for a year.

Vowing to stay off alcohol and drugs, Seksan said he had written several songs while at the rehab centre and would hold a concert in a month to raise funds for the Thanyarak Institute of Drug Abuse. He said he would also be happy to lead antidrug campaigns.

Meanwhile, the ONCB chief encouraged families to encourage drugabusing youngsters to undergo rehabilitation.

    Sek seeks the quiet life
    26/02/2012

Rocker Sek Loso says he is cutting down on the women in his life now that he has cleaned up his act on the drugs front. Sek was released this month as an outpatient from the Thanyarak Institute in Pathum Thani, where the rocker sought treatment late last year.

He confessed last week that his fondness for women had landed him in almost as much trouble as his addiction to hard drugs.

Sek's estranged wife, Wiphakorn "Kan" Sukpimai, started the Sek drugs saga rolling when she published pictures of Sek smoking methamphetamines on a trip to Europe. Now it emerges that she published the pictures on Facebook out of anger over Sek's relationship with another woman.

Appearing on television last week to discuss his transformation from deluded drug addict to caring family man, Sek said his flirtations with women stepped up after he and Kan separated in August last year.

"A woman entered my life, and I wrote to her on Facebook," he told the show. "Kan saw the message, and published the drug pictures out of anger."

Facebook is also the platform where Sek admits he left many drug-induced rants before he entered treatment.

"I went into rehab because I knew that, contrary to what I had claimed earlier, I could no longer control my drug habit," he said.

"I was angry with everyone, angry with the whole world _ though I still had one love, my music," he said.

In one drug-crazed rant, Sek accused his former music label, Grammy Entertainment, of tapping his phones and sending spies to follow him.

"None of it happened, and I have to beg for Grammy's apology. I was just paranoid," Sek said.

Nor had he attempted to flee from rehab, as some reports suggested: "I signed myself out of treatment briefly, as I wanted to visit one of my children who was sick in hospital.

"As for the many women I was seeing, they have all dropped me now, and I have returned to my family," he said.

Kan, who also appeared on the television show, admitted she published Sek's drug pictures out of jealousy, but said she had no regrets. "The episode encouraged him to seek treatment," she said. "But I would like to confirm that no matter how much time has passed, I still love Sek as much as ever," she said.

    Rocker Sek Loso causing concern

Some people in Uttaradit have called on the provincial governor to reconsider allowing rock star Seksan "Sek Loso" Sukpimai perform in the northern province after the singer-guitarist smoked cigarettes on stage during a recent performance.

This photo posted to Facebook of Sek Loso's alleged drug-taking activities started off a scandal that led to the termination of his recording contract.

Kanyari Sirikanjanarak, a tourism official, said many people wanted governor Chalermchai Fuangkhon and the Phraya Phichai Dap Hak and Red Cross Fair organiser to keep a close watch on Sek Loso, who previously previously made headlines for drug and alcohol use.

Ms Kanyarai said Sek recently smoked cigarettes while performing at a fair in Uttaradit's Laplae district.

"The Uttaradit people are not against any artists who hold a concert, so long as their shows are appropriate and not vulgar.

"Many youths want to see Sek Loso perform and if his acts are inappropriate these young people might copy him," she said.

The Phraya Phichai Dap Hak and Red Cross Fair will be held outside the town hall in Uttaradit from Jan 7-16.

Last year, Sek Loso admitted that he took drugs and GMM Grammy later quickly terminated the popular singer's contract.

The troubled rocker then entered treatment for his drug habit.

Hilarious when these corporate pukes pretend to have morality. How dare this evil singer try to alter the dopamine level in his own brain without the State's permission.

A rock musician has a drug habit? Tell me something I don't know...

Just another example of Thai hypocrisy when it comes to public morality. For last Songkran there was an outrage about a girl showing a boob in public... 100m from Soi Patpong. Same, but a different flavor now.

Sek Loso given two-year suspended jail sentence for assault

Rocker Seksan Sukpimai, better known as Sek Loso, was today given a two-year suspended jail sentence after the Criminal Court found him guilty of assaulting in April this year.

The court first sentenced him to two years and six months in prison for assaulting and seriously injured Ms Chanokchol “Bee” Boonpeng, his ex-wife personal assistant on April 13 in Raminthra area of Bangkok.

But the court reduced the sentence by half to one year and three months and a 2,000 baht fine. However his jail sentence was suspended for two years after he pleaded guilty.

Sek’s associate Sahachart Poonsri who also faced the same charge was also given two years in jail but commuted to one year. His jail sentence was also suspended for two years.

During the probation period, both were also ordered by the court to do charity work three times within one year.

Both were brought before the Criminal Court to hear assault charges stemming from a clash with his ex-wife’s personal assistant in the Ram Intra area in April.

At the time of the attack, Sek’s ex-wife Wiphakorn “Kan” Sukpimai flayed him on social media for assaulting Bee.

Kan said she was horrified Sek assaulted her assistant while in the presence her younger sister, Kae, and the couple’s teen daughter, Kwang.

She also posted an image of him kicking Bee, who was admitted to hospital with a broken left jaw.
