Yes because his wife was applying for one in the UK. I was asking if she got it or not.

Thanks for the link anyway, it's useful.

Dismissed the idea, never applied in the end.

I was hoping like Buriramboy said about 2 weeks and we would all be able to fly back to the UK together but I will go back with the boy next week and she will follow when the visa arrives.

The wait is finally over and the wife finally recieved the sms to collect her passport which contained the visa this morning.
It was 10 weeks after submitting the documents. From the day she applied to the day she recieved it there was no contact from the embassy, no interview and the track the application status never changed the whole time.

I was planning on flying back with her but due to the long wait I have already returned to the UK.

Does anybody know of a way to book a one way flight from BKK to LHR from the UK?

have you tried the usual suspects, just put in the way around you want

mind you, single tickets are about the same as return with most airlines

the cheapest way would be to use AirAsia; Bkk to KL, then KL to London (Stansted) would be around £300

My friends just waited 10 weeks too - must of been a busy period. I applied in January and waited 10 days; even that wait was horrid.

^ I have looked at Qantas as I need a one way direct flight but they said I need to go to the office with the credit card to complete the booking which would mean I have to send it to Thailand.
