    What to know First Time Visa Run !! Everyone HELP !!

    Hi Folks !

    My 3 Month Non-Immigrant "O" Visa expires in 3 weeks. I need to stay in Thailand with my Thai Wife.

    I have all the time in the world.

    Someone told me that to get a Visa again I would have to do a Visa run, or in other world cross the border, get the Visa and come back into Thailand.

    EVERYONE - Please Guide me so that I can proceed accordingly through the Legal Way to get a Visa.

    ================================================== =======
    EVERYONE PLEASE SPEND TIME AND DO JOIN IN TO SORT OUT MY PROBLEM.
    ================================================== =======

    I also suppose that a Visa Run is totally Legal when I go myself, with a less amount of Expense as compared to other ways to acquire a Visa.

    Also let me know of some good Visa Run Agencies in Bangkok if they are worth it.

    Bangladesh.

    Is 400k baht in a thai bank required in Visa run also.

    I mean I can fly to Dhaka and again get a Non-Immigrant "O" Visa based on Marriage to a Thai. I don't need 400k in the bank to get the Visa.

    Why do I need it in Visa run to get a Visa again ?

    No.
    I wanted to know if you fulfill the requirements to get a 1 year extension to your current permission to stay. That way you can stay for a year and don't have to do any visa runs.

    I think you will need to apply for another non imm visa.
    Try and get a multi entry visa.
    That way you can stay for 15 months and only have to do border runs every 90 days.

    My Facts are :-
    =========

    1. I am married to a Thai National.
    2. I have got my Thai Marriage Certificate.
    3. My Wife has got her Thai Id Card.
    4. I have a 3 months Non-Immigrant "O" Category Single Entry Visa from Thai
    Embassy in Bangladesh which is going to expire in 3 weeks.

    The clarifications that I need are :-
    ===========================
    1. I need to stay with my Wife for a long time in Thailand Legally.

    2. I need to exit Thailand after 3 months. Can this be avoided by doing a Visa
    Run, if it is legal thatis.(Doing a Visa Run would be cheaper and quicker for me
    than going all the way to my country for a Visa.)

    3. Would I be able to get another 3 months Non-Immigrant "O" Category Visa
    legally by doing the Visa Run.

    4. Visa Run requires me to catch a "Visa Run Tour Bus" run by some company
    which will take me to the Thai Border where I can get a Legal 3 months Non-
    Immigrant "O" category Visa again by showing my Thai Marriage Certificate and
    Copy of my Wife's Thai ID Card to Immigration and come back again inside
    Thailand and stay for another 3 months and do a Visa Run again after 3
    months prior to expiry of my 3 month Visa. I think 400k in the bank would not
    be required to obtain a Visa this way.

    5. A need to get another 3 months Non-Immigration "O" Category Single Entry Visa so I can
    stay with my wife. No money was required to get this Visa from my country in the first
    place. Does a Visa Run enable me to get this type of Visa again. I do not mind going out of
    Thailand if it enables me to get a 3 months more stay in Thailand with my Wife.

    to the best of my knowledge border runs WILL NOT help you with your current visa .

    if at all possible I would advise you to speak to your local Thai Immigration Office

    best wishes

    It is not that I don't have money. It is just that I do not want to show 400k in my bank account. I can put it to good use by setting up shop for my Wife (it is in the plans).

    Basically I have enough money to survive in Thailand with my wife, without working.

    Someone told me I could do a Visa Run to get another 3 months Visa to stay in Thailand as it is a Cheap and Genuine Way to get a Visa.

    Please Advice.

    Go home
    Get a non-imm O multi entry visa.
    You can stay in Thailand for up to 15 months with a border run every 90 days
    No visa runs needed

    If so, then a simple border crossing every 90 days during the 3 year period would be all that is required.

    Still must get the visa at Thai Embassy Dhaka.

    From the website. "Multiple entries is only for Business and Medical purposes."

    Ucom can only get a 3 month.

    Solly, 4 posts in, already married to a Thai and hasn't worked out the visa implications of living in Thailand, so has to ask on a forum.
    Troll, or trying to start a visa service.
    Note the nic.
