Thai Visas and Visa Runs Tell us about your Thailand visa run experience, ask about doing a Thai Visa run here. Where is the best place to get a visa for Thailand? What paperwork did you need for a Thai Non Immigrant Visa? Where can you get Thai Multiple Entry Visas? Is a Retirement Visa that difficult to get? Want to take your Thai Girlfriend back to the UK? Also for questions on visa entry requirements to other countries & overstay in Thailand.

Non-imm ED visa to Work permit issue... Hi All I currently have a Multiple entry 1 year Non-immigration Education (ED) visa obtained at the Hull Consulate in the UK. I am a UK citizen. I am wanting to work in Thailand and so obviously need a work permit which hopefully the company i want to work for will help me to obtain as my friend is one of the owners. Here's my question... My visa expires on 22nd Dec 2009 which is obviously quite soon. I believe i can get a 90 day extension on this as long as exit and return to Thailand before the expiry date. I have checked this twice with Immigration at Bangkok airport during this year and they agreed. Do i need to do anything special to get this extension or is it automatic when i enter Thailand? Can i still apply for a work permit whilst i am in Thailand during the extension period or is the fact that my Non-immigrant visa has expired based on the date within my passport a problem? Any advice appreciated

Hello Thanks for the prompt replies. My understanding is i need a Non-immigrant B visa which needs to be obtained from outside of Thailand but i can obtain this once my application for a work visa is approved.
