    One more detail:

Ideally I'd like a couple of months to get settles and travel, before starting the course. Don't want to mess it up by starting too quickly. Is it possible to do this, or do you have to start the course as soon as arriving in Thailand?

    Thanks.

I am thinking of a 3 day TEFL course in UK; is this a waste of time? Could I get job teaching with a work permit? I have no degree but an experienced IT trainer.

    Thanks if anyone can answer.

I reckon this might have something to do with the BA Thai degree at Leeds uni... they send their students there for study abroad... they have to dress up in the uniforms, no matter their age.

All of this reminds me of the bogus colleges in England catering to Pakistani students, so they can be in the country and work whilst pretending to study. Oh well, if you can't beat 'em .......

I am wondering if this is just a requirement of the school and not an actual visa requirement? I was under the impression the minimum hours of study per month needed to be 30 or 32?

From the Walen school visa page they mention:
How often do I have to come to school?

    * You will need to study at least 4 lessons a week, we have two options:
2 days a week for 2 lessons or 1 day a week for 4 lessons.
    Does this sound about correct?

    cheers,
    tt

it seems that CMU's ED visa was a scam. 300 people paid for courses with guaranteed ED visas but apart from a receipt, they were left with bugger all. I know DD won't allow links but if you google 'cmu ed visa scam' stuff will show up.

CMU's ED visa is a huge SCAM and no one on TD seems to know shit about it. For the real story by the students affected go read thaivisa.com vise section.
