| Thai Multiple Entry Tourist Visa I have a Thai Visa application form in front of me. The tourist visa says: "$35 for 60 day entry. 1,2 or three available [at] $30.00 per entry" My question is: If I get the three entry Tourist Visa for $90, do I "have" to leave the country every 60 days, or if I chose to, stay the full 180 days without leaving the country? asiatravelers[at]gmail.com |

| Multiple Entry Tourist Visa Is it possible to get an extension in Chumphon or Samui? Is there a list of places to get extensions that anyone knows about? It would work much better for my plans to leave in 90 rather than 60 days. A few years back, dive shops operators still sending their passports out of country for extensions, etc. Is this still being done? It would be worth whatever "they" charge for this service rather than travel out of country and back. |

The only legal way to get a visa is outside Thailand from a Thai Embassy or Consulate and the only place you can get a legal extension to a visa is from an Immigration Office. The days of remaining in Thailand indefinitely on whatever visa while your passport makes trips out of the country for you are long gone I'm afraid. You'll need to leave.
