That's what The Fondler said but when I flashed the evidence he went all quiet.
That's what The Fondler said but when I flashed the evidence he went all quiet.
So let's recap eh.
1. Owner of the premises must file a TM 30 if a foreigner is occupying the gaff.
2. The renter must fill out TM 30 anytime he or she spends a night outside the Gaff and is registered in a Hotel within Thailand or exits Thailand and returns to said gaffer. Must be filed within 24 hours.
This can be done 3 ways.
1. Go to your local Immi office.
2. Post da fuker in.
3. Or be a smart coont and do it on line.
That's how it works fukos.
To easy innit.
The other way to do it is not do it at all.
Ya then pay the 800 or 1600 Bht fine depending on whether Sumchai got his morning pussy or not and then be fooked around doing it whilst ya there at Immi.
Up to you eh.
Cheers plebs.
There is one more way.
When the renter returns to the rented Gaffer after spending the night in a Hotel the owner can file a TM 30 on the renters behalf.
But if ya silly enuff to think Sumchai gunna do that every time ya fook off ya fooked in da head eh.
This is what I do to get around this TM 30 shit. Whenever I go anywhere I go with my wife and kids. Only one person has to supply their ID to book in. I get the missus to book in using her ID card. Job done. No TM30 required.
Now I'm sure you go with your wing-man when travelling Terry so all you need to do is book in using her ID card and NO TM 30. Simple innit? All a fuss over nuffin.
That's right but it can roll both ways.
I have been renting my gaff for 5 years and last week my landlady decided to go Chang Wattana and fill her TM 30.
Of course they grassed her up for not doing it sooner and smashed her for the 800 Bht.
I paid half of that of course.
So last week I went travelling and presumably Immi now know I been up cuntry. My landlady don't now shit, she does not know when I cum and go.
So let's say I had to go today to Wattana to do an extention of stay.
On their putor it would show my last TM 30 as being up in Bum Fuk Nowhere and they would fine me 800 Bht because I did not submit a TM 30 on my return to my BKK gaffer.
My landlady is not going to pay the 800 Bht is she ?
No, of course fookin not.
So here within lies the confusion, coonts can't get their heads around the small details but when ya break it down its very fookin simple innit.
^^
Yes, that is indeed the correct way to go.
Unfortunately I fooked up on this trip and did not do that.
I certainly will in the future though.
Cheers.
Question : What is the punishment in case of late/not notifying of residence every 90 days ? Answer : -In case notifying in person, the alien will be punished with a fine of 2,000 Bath. - In case of being arrested for not notifying on the due date, the fine is 4,000 Bath and with an additional fine of 200 Bath for each day which passes until the law is complied with?
Immigration Division 1
What you know about Thai immigration law Tezza, could be written down twice on the back of your torn off TM 6 departure card, with a thick marker pen
Oopsy
IAnyway... was told by my new landlady that its a 4500 baht fine for her if she didn't report, when she was asking for my passport this week
Quick recap on the TM30.
The law has been on the books for 40 years, since 1979, and now they’re going to enforce it.
Recent report shows about 200k expats living in Thailand and 38M tourists visited in 2018.
200k/38M = 0.5%
So, a half of a percent of the massive database of foreign visitors to Thailand will apply to us expats. Add to the mix that many of the tourists will be staying at multiple locations, further diluting the expat contribution to the database.
They’ll be making a ton more in "fine" money off of the hotels, guest houses and… AirBNB’ers.
Impact on falang expats, minimal. Make an attempt to comply and document your attempt. Then take the attitude of I did everything in my power to comply with your laws…
So Be It – I do my annual extensions w/800k banked, never a problem, do my 90 day reps on-line, never a problem, registered for the TM30 on-line, got a user name and password, returned from a visit to Phuket and tried to report TM30 on-line – rejected “incorrect info” got printouts of my attempt showing that I tried. Will see if it comes to anything when I extend in October – doubt it’ll come up. If it does, oh well, shame on the system, I tried to comply.
I will not lose any sleep over it. Whatever will be will be…
Interesting – all this hubbub now ‘bout the TM30 filing – and, nuttin’ ‘bout the “mandatory” insurance requirement.
FYI – from that other web site: the Office of Insurance Commission, the Ministry of Public Health, the Foreign Ministry and Immigration Bureau will announce the insurance requirements for Non-Immigrant O-A visas on 22 August.
Same deal with us Prag. When I travel for pleasure my wife books everything, she checks us in. We do that for 2 reasons. Avoid paying higher prices on resorts being we know there is double pricing and as far as the Immigration dept is concerned I never went anywhere which makes it easy on the Hotels/resorts.
All silly really.
In typical fashion here, this was not well thought out. It was a reaction by a senior Thai official(s) who got pressure after a foreigner gets caught doing something that makes the public eye.
In my opinion ( which means virtually nothing here as we know what opinions are like) is that when a Foreigner re applies for their O-A visa extension that they start the vetting process to make them a permanent resident. Of course it should be optional but ones that want to go through it should have an option. I would submit to it all again.
As for the mandatory health insurance lingering around, I support it but you should have 2 options, one is that the money you sustain in the bank for Visa compliance should be considered a binder if you do not want or cannot acquire medical insurance due to various reasons. Its really that simple. Problem solved.
Regards madatory health Insurance for plebs obtaining O -A visa.
I will submit an applicaton in Perth in October for my new O-A Visa and if i'm lucky these shitters would not have bought it in yet.
So my Heath insurance rolls like this.
I have full time health insurance in Perth because I'm flitting back and forward between this shit house and Perth.
I also obtain travel Insurance for the times I'm out of Perth and in this mad house.
So if they require Health Insurance now for the A-O where do I stand ?
Answer =
Give zero fuks really. If I need to buy a 3rd policy to qualify for the A-O I'll do it.
I love living in Thailand part time so fooked if spending a few more buks is gunna stop me.
This is the power of being cashed up fukos.
Cheers
^So you currently have no health insurance in Thailand?.
Yup Terry, you, me and every other Tom, Dick and Harry desiring to visit Thailand. We will comply with their requirements. Not by choice but by necessity.
So Be It. As I'll not risk getting locked up in a foreign jail/prison/detention center, I'll comply with their regulations. Pretty simple.
In the beginning (2005) I thought living in Thailand was. Irrespective of current financial requirements. I think the Thai government definitely impose more hoops each year in the hope that long stay farang will fcuk off. The simplicity of living in Thailand has long gone and things willll only get worse. Just my 2 cents worth.
What next, a crackdown on Lukrung and the right to dual nationality?
Lost luggage, to cover your hotel bill if there's a missed flight, $500 emergency money if your fanny pack gets stolen?.
I don't know because I've never had *travel insurance* and always thought it was for just stupid fucking backpackers who had nothing to lose anyway, besides their Elephant pants and Von Dutch singlets of course. What I do have is Health Insurance that covers me for up to USD $1,000,000. Will this *travel insurance* you've got do the same or are you on your own for anything more than a stubbed toe?. What's the max cover on it, are you guaranteed full coverage in the best private Thai hospitals once they see your Insurance card?.
Well i dont agree with that at all. I see it like this.
Thailand was invaded by some very hard core criminals over many years and they would hide out long term using Thailands piss weak Visa policies.
At the same time Thailand was flooded by many cheap arse Ex-pats who contributed sweet fook all to the economy. Now sitting on ones arse smashing large bottles of Leo at 60 bht a pop cant really be taken as contributing in a meaningful fashion.
All this was quite OK until the new military Government took power and decided to clean shop. Hence fast forward to today where the goal posts have well and truely been shifted and many of the above mentioned punters have been fooked of.
My personal opinion is that Thailand has made the correct moves and as long as the Ex-pat has significant funds zero has changed.
On the other hand the Ex-pats who do not have significant funds are on a very slippery slope and gunna go down.
Way it is Bra, nothing lasts for ever .
And further more, when i hear the Ex pats say that Thailand wants them gone i piss with laughter. Reread my post.
^^
My Travel Insurance covers everything that you have mentioned and also Medical evac.
I will be treated in any Hospital in any cuntry i travel until i am fit again. Worst cases senorio they will do a medical evac but Thailands medical is so good cant see that being neccesary.
Further more, its mainly for emergencies like if i get hit by a truck or something. If i get a diagnosis that got cancer i just fly home and my Insurance kicks in.
Thats how it rolls bra.
