    Thanks toddaniels,

    A couple of questions;

    1. If Vientiane did require "confirmed hotel booking" and I showed them my house lease (expires November 2018) would that raise any red flags ?

    2. Selling my car, can I sell it if iam on 30 visa exempt entry ?

    Umm, Seeing as Vientiane doesn't ask for any proof of hotel booking or confirmed lodging how the f*ck would I know what they might accept if they started asking?

    I can tell you for the consulates which do require proof of confirmed lodging a lease with your name on it is fine.

    As far as selling a vehicle; when you do the title transfer you need to show proof of residence. There are three ways to do that; a work permit, a letter from the immigration office or a letter from your consulate.

    So on a 30 day visa exempt entry you can sell a vehicle IF you can get a certificate of residence. I'd transfer the title before you cancel your work permit OR see if the One Stop Service Center at Cham Churi Square can issue you a certificate of residence.

    Thanks,

    I ask about confirmed lodging at vietiane as it says on their website "Documents for tourist visa application include travel plans. Financial evidence Proof of booking and accommodation"

    Jomtien should give me a residency cert based on my house lease.

    Just sell the fukkin car and go to Vientiane and get your visa .
    There will be no red flags , the only red flags will be the ones that you see in Vientiane, and no, those red flags are not there because you are there ., take everything that you own to the Thai embassy in Vientiane , even your car, just in case they ask to see it , take a photo of your condo and the lease, just incase they ask to see it , get your parents to go to the embassy, just in case they want to talk to them

    Cars that still have financing a pain to sell, paying out the finance next week but from previous dealings with Tisco it can take a month to get the book.... you wanna buy a financed car or a car with a book somewhere in the mail ?

    Don't have a visa, it expired 10 years ago am on a permission to stay extension and whilst it will be getting cancelled on the 20th (post dated to the 31st) my concern was doing a border bounce before the 31st as it was a multi entry so effectively still valid for entry.
