    CW Avoidance Strategy

A friend in CM recently told me he has an agency do his 90-day reporting for B300 per trip. He says the same agency greatly reduces bureaucratic contact during annual visa renewal for B4,000. Can anyone in bkk recommend such an agency here?

well if i had to do it (which thankfully i dont personally) 300 THB would save the taxi fare, plus lost time, plus brainache of dealing with Govt.
    you'd be daft not to

Never heard of that, maybe someone at CM immigration has a little sideline going for themselves? Thankfully I already have someone do that for me but if I didn't B300 seems well worth it.

Maybe they (the agents) could recommend someone in BKK?

When Immigration was festering at the Suan Plu dump, there were a number of these "visa assistance" places advertising across the street...possibly the rent may be too high at the gov't complex...or the police colonel's brother moved on to another sideline...I do know that motocy guys turn up regularly at Immi CW with handfuls of passports and are taken care of immediately...

    To save you fookin' going.

Did this a few years ago at my old house. Simply paid a motosai taxi rider we trusted, 200 or 300thb, give 'im me passy, and hope he returns with it.

Always did with the 90 day report done.

The great thing about Thailand is the convenience, the place is swelling with the unfortunate peasantry willing to do one's dirty work for a few nuts, while you can snugly remain on your sofa with the aircon set to Subzero Defcon 3.

Next time you go, ask the IO if they know of anyone that can do it for a fee.

You can do the 90 day by post but if you must attend, the wait is usually an hour at most.

^it takes me at least an hour to get to immi/cw using bts and taxi/expressway...the wait to stand in line and get a ticket is another hour...the actual 90 day report takes 5-10 minutes...then at least another hour to get back into town using taxi and bts...I would rather inconvenience a motocy guy for B300...

There are a couple services in bangkok that will do 90 day reporting for people. They range in price from 250 up to 600 <- with 600 baht being Bumrungrad Hospital.

I go out to Chaengwattana a LOT, (at least a couple times a month) and I always have 3 or 4 passports of acquaintances that I do 90 day reporting for while I'm there..

The online program is back up and running too. People can also mail it in following the directions on the immigration website and get their receipt of 90 day reporting mailed back to you.

Unfortunately they stopped letting foreigners do 90 day reports at the Immigration offices located at Imperial World Mall (Big C Lad Prao Soi 83) and Big C Ratburana Road. To do a 90 day report in person we now go to Chaengwattana only.

Aside from hospitals, do you happen to have any names, business locations, etc? I hesitate to use the online program or mail due to a total lack of confidence in either system...

Nope, I don't have their contact info handy, but I'll look around and see if I can dig 'em up. I post it if I find it. I know for sure there's one out at Thong Lo that does it for like 250-300 baht, but I can't remember the company name. They specialize in getting visas for Japanese people here and do 90 day reporting for them too..

As far as the 90 day online reporting (especially in Bangkok) if you can get past the first page it'll work. I've got well over 100 reports for people to go thru online so far.

And mailing in your 90 day report works like a top. A friend of mine has been mailing his 90 day reports in for years and years. He's gotten the confirmation back within a couple weeks.

I would say your lack of confidence is holding you back.

Lad Prao was brilliant, sorely missed.

CW is a pain in the arse up against Lad Prao.

For future reference ... wonder if I could just send my step-son to Jomtien immigration to do my 90 day check-ins?

Send him down when due. If they refuse him, you can head down yourself the next day.

Yes. Unless rules change as they do at times. I have ny son do it here in Roiet. He needs to take your passport, completed Form of Notification (TM.47) signed by you, and the latest receipt of notification .
