Tory manifesto pledge to increase settlement visa threshold

Some of you may have picked up in the British media that the Tory election manifesto contains a pledge that the minimum financial requirement threshold will be raised from its current £18,600 annual income to an as yet unspecified amount.

The threshold is already the highest in the developed world which together with the extortionate application fees imposed as a result of May's policies in the Home Office make Britain the worst destination for citizens who have the effrontery to marry other than within their own nationality.

To put this into some perspective, some 42% of all British working males and 52% of women would not qualify currently for sponsorship of their foreign spouse in any settlement visa application to the UK.

With the promised increase these figures can only rise dramatically together with the angst likely to ensue. At present, it is estimated that up to 15,000 children are reduced to electronic means in order to maintain contact with a mother or father separated by May's policies.

This draconian measure is quite disgraceful but typical of the evil created by the monstrous, desiccated and barren bitch May.

Hundreds of British citizens of all ages are discovering for themselves just how nasty and mean-minded these policies truly are, particularly the manner in which they are imposed.

A few examples of just how fucked up they are:-

-no account of any property ownership is taken when weighing the application. If the sponsor has an income of less than £18,600 but owns his own home in which they propose to live and therefore will subsist rent-free, then tough shit, you are refused.

    - no account of any potential earnings of one's spouse can be taken in the initial application. She/he is a chef, trained carpenter, qualified carer or arc welder, sorry, fuck you.

    - you have assets of cash savings held in secure bonds but not immediately liquid, then fuck you, you're refused, only cash held in wholly accessible accounts for the past six months count.

    - you have savings of £16,000 which you propose to use to make up for any shortfall in meeting the income requirement. Sorry, fuck you, only savings in excess of £16,000 can be counted because in order that the cvunt May can be satisfied you will not seek benefits you have to have that amount in the bank which excludes you from qualification for most benefits.

    - any employment the sponsor may have in the UK must have been held by them for at least six months prior to any settlement application being lodged. You want your family with you when you return to the UK and start your new job? Sorry, fuck you. Suck up the separation and enjoy it. Hey, why can't you just use Skype like all the other fuckers. You think you are something special?

In practice, many folk who for whatever reason may wish to return to the UK with their families or other loved ones are going to experience ever greater difficulties in negotiating the minefield May has laid for them. And for what purpose?

Hitting foreigners is always a vote catcher for the Tory right wing trash pandering to the lower end British. Fuck 'em.

Anyway, the point of the post is to act as a warning - if you are thinking of sponsoring a partner's settlement, do it now and do not delay.

I read an article the other day which quoted an observation by AJP Taylor that the Conservative Party is an alliance of the Mob and the City. And at the moment, the Mob holds the whip hand. Fucking idiots will vote for them nevertheless, and then cry into their Archa about how unfair it is that they can't take their 500-baht tart back to the promised land.

Their constituency reminds me of the bad old days of Unionist conservatives in N.Ireland in the 1960s - working men entrapped by exploitative employment practices in an unfair society voted for the very people that had their boots on their necks simply because they were frightened of Catholics. Same lumpen trash now voting for folk who have been sticking it to them for the past nine years but instead of Catholics the bogeyman is Johnny Foreigner and the Evil EU Empire.

Einstein was almost certainly right, only stupidity is truly infinite.

Indeed, now we have seen the full extent of this new 'Toryism' only a total cvunt or a gibbering lower end imbecile could possibly vote for them.

One rather thinks bumbumboy probably qualifies on both counts.

^ Prospective Tory MP. At the moment, it's a UKIP seat, though the MP is facing a difficult challenge from the Daily Mail-British Union of Fascists candidate.

They are also planning to taking free school meals away from kids who need them. They are a utterly contemptible party of simpletons and cronies. It's heartening to see Labor doing a bit better. Maybe there is hope yet?

They're not called the Nasty Party for nothing...

My mate has just gone through this recently. As in this month.

I'll ask him to do a bit of a report.

To add, I think that splitting up families in such a manner is a breach of Human Rights. May isn't so hot on rights, though. So far it has been the elderly, the disabled, the poor, the homeless, children and immigrants. Dread to think what will come next!

Hard Brexit and the rump United Kingdom reduced to some neo-liberal hellhole where the idiots who voted for Brexit and the Tories get to taste the fruits of their victory.

Here's what my mate had to say about it.

"It worked out to around £2,500 including xxx's trip to BKK to sit the English test and get her TB Cert. Bear in mind that £300 of that was solely due to the fact that they charge all fees in US$, even although I'm British, with British credit card, using a British online website where all fees are quoted in £ ! "

    and;

"Thank Christ we did it when we did - if the limit had gone up by even £1,000 we wouldn't have made it.
Further down the line though, it might still affect us if or when xxx applies for Indefinite Leave to Remain"

I wouldn't wish to piss on his parade but there is the FLTR application in two and half years time and then the ILR application by which time the fees will have increased five times. Together with the Brit.Cit. naturalisation to come, assuming of course she manages the inexorably increasing demand for ever greater proficiency in English, I think your friend should budget for at least another £6-8,000.

The extortionate fees and cruel language test are all to assist in the applicant's integration, apparently, because if you make it fucking difficult then it's easier somehow.

    Toryness.

So maybe the UK will finally get the strong dictator it so desperately needs. I see the lower end are out in force in this thread whining and moaning about how unfair life is and why they aren't entitled to free stuff anymore.

I will be voting Conservative in the next election on the advice of my best friend Can123. He is a lovely person, both moral and eloquent, moderate and tolerant, and has advised that I should leave this forum because it is "full of thickies".

Should I stay or should I go ?

Err, are you just being stupid because you are, or is it simply because you can't be arsed to use your brain?

Like for like, the Thai equivalent, to remain as a spouse, is 400,000 baht annually which equates to £9,000 today but given it has been that for a long time when the exchange rate was much better , the cost has been much less and around the £6000 mark for yonks.

The Uk does not have a category other than as an investor for people subject to control who want to live in the UK but I think one needs to invest a couple of million pounds to qualify. There was a category for retired persons independently wealthy but this closed many years ago and was limited to those with accommodation who had a minimum of £25,000 net annual income and who could demonstrate close personal ties to the country.

The problem with the British class system (or its genius, depending on how you look at it) is that if you're on the outside, you'll never get past the barriers which block your way to the inside because you just don't know where they are.

It doesn't matter how desperately you declare your allegiance to the ruling classes, you're not one of them and you're never going to be. Every time you open your mouth (or press the return on your keyboard), you reveal exactly what you are and the sad truth is, it's the polar opposite of what you wish to be. In all honesty, Buriramboy, you'd be a thousand times more convincing if you just said nothing. And if you can't do that, at least stop posting those awful pictures of your food and house. Fucking spice racks? Jesus wept. I bet there are mug trees hidden away in there too.

Of course i'm sitting on my rather large sofa in my large lounge in my large house. Life is pretty good as my wealth continues to grow without me having to lift a finger.

On the other hand, your rendition of the boastful oaf who is both completely unconvincing and entirely bereft of self-awareness is Oscar-worthy, so my congratulations on that.
