I think it'd behoove you to think much more about what will work for you, living next to your mother-in-law in a one buffalo village up in Nakhon Nowhere. In thai there's a saying about taming buffaloes. First they สนตะพาย (sŏn dtà-paai) put the rope thru a hole in their nose. Then even the most stubborn buffalo can be จูงจมูก (joong jà-mòok) lead by the nose. All to many white buffaloes (foreigners) here are complacently led by their noses here by their thai significant others.

Plan your work, then work your plan. Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see, and above all don't trust the thais, and trust the foreigners here less!! If you follow those words 'o wisdom and you just might make it. <- "just might" are the operative words in that last sentence..

You can skip the pickup truck if in Nakhon Nowhere. Kaboda has a two wheel tractor that you can hitch a wagon to. Swap the rubber tires for the hoop style paddle wheels and a plow attachment and you're good for the rice fields. 4 grand with all the stuff brand new.

I dareu learn to post pics and throw a few on how it goes if and when you find the time. It would give some of these dreamers something to think about. Good luck with it.

I arrived in 2003 & applied for an O-A retirement visa 6 months later.
After checking the net, it seems that a medical is no longer required.
