Ban Laem 30 day bus ticket visa exempt exposed

Well the only place doing the bus ticket so you can get back into Thailand on a Visa Exempt 30 day thingy is the Ban Laem - Daung border crossing, this bus ticket is 200baht and promises a 1 way journey to Phomn Phen, you show this to Thai immigration and they let you back in, trouble is, there is no bus, yep the whole lot is a fraud, really can't see this get around lasting too long, but hell, what a great business idea, only expense is a small room and some tickets, hell I wouldn't mind selling bits of paper for 200baht each

You believe that the guys in the immigration box are unknowing of this?
I'd say it's either their kiosk or they are getting tea money.

The business idea is great but why should they need to have a bus that no one ever will travel with?

Ahhh yes, the Thai immigration guys actually ask you to wait so the guide can walk you across and sort everything out for you for a measely 200baht, so they get a cut out of that, I think the Cambodian immigration get a cut off of the tickets aswell as the Thai immigration getting a cut off of them, so your average punter pays 1,000baht for their Cambodian visa, fine of 100baht for no photo if they don't have one, 100baht fine for not staying in Cambodia, 200baht for a bus ticket on a bus that doesn't exist, and 200baht for a guide they don't need, it's a cash cow
