While I realize that Chaeng Wattana has reopened, does anyone know if I can still do my 90 day note at Lad Phrao?

Allegedly in Bangkok foreigners can do their 90 day reporting at the following offices;
Main Immigrations out at Chaengwattana
Imperial World LadPrao
Major Hollywood Suksawat
Being the curious person I am, (meaning I trust thaiz about as far as I can piss) I thought I'd call and check about it too. After calling both the Immigrations Hotline at 1178 and the Government Hotline at 1111, I still couldn't get a real answer..
Immigrations english version website's reads like a train wreck and the thai version is almost as bad. There appears to be NOTHING to confirm that 90 day reports can still be made at the two satellite locations we were compelled to go to (Major Suksawat or Imperial World) when Chaengwattana was closed..
I finally got a hold of someone out at Chaengwattana who had at least half a clue (which is better than clue-less); they said you CAN do a 90 day report in person at either Major Suksawat OR Imperial World. However seeing as those two places don't open until 10:30 I can't re-confirm this. All I can say is a thai immigrations officer at Chaengwattana said it could be done.
Here're the numbers, call and see;
Major Hollywood Suksawat - 02-463-2040
Imperial World LadPrao - 02-530-4535
You do know you can mail your 90 day report to Chaengwattana right?
You send the report along with signed copies of the picture page of your passport, your current extension of stay stamp, your departure card and a stamped self addressed envelope. Send it tracked EMS and you'll get the bottom of your 90 day report and your copies sent back to you.
I know people who've mailed their 90 day report in for a few years now. The only time they had a hiccup was when Chaengwattana closed. Even then, without their receipt of reporting, when they were due for their next 90 days all they did was show the EMS confirmation that they'd mailed it within the prescribed time and they didn't get fined at all...
You also know you can go to Bumrungrad Hospital sign the form, give them your passport, 600baht and they'll report for you.. I see the Bumrungrad 'runner' there almost every time I'm at Chaengwattana and he always has a STACK of passports!
Good Luck. . . .
Sorry the answer is so vague, this IS thailand after all.

Thanks, I'll give imperial world a try next week....

Reply to #1: I report for my visa to Mae Sai, but I can go to the immigration office in Chiang Saen for my 90 day reports. Interestingly enough I live in Chiang Rai Province but cannot go to Chiang Rai Immigration for my annual visa.
2. As well if no immigration office was available you could do so at the local police station?
Reply to #2: I tried this. Stupid me. The cops just looked at me and told my Thai wife we don't know if we can do this. Please go to Chiang Sean Immigration. From that I take it the cops know fuck all about 90 day reports.
No wonder Somtamslap could overstay for years without worry.
Albert sure is psychotic, errr I mean psychic!
In reality you should do your 90 day report in the zone where you do your extensions of stay.
Now in theory you can do a 90 day report at any immigration office in thailand IF you provide an address (say a hotel) which shows you're staying in that zone. Not all offices will do it, but all the touristy destinations will.
No "ltnt" the police don't know jack shit about immigrations stuff, 90 day reports, etc because that's not their deal.
Strike that, some police know enough about it to check your passport for overstay IF you run off the rails on something else but that's about it.
In the 10 years I've been here you've never been able to turn in a 90 day report at a police station.
This is ripped right off the Immigrations Bangkok website;
I did find another topic on a forum which posters confirmed they'd successfully done 90 day reporting at both LadPrao and Major Suksawat AFTER Chaengwattana opened back up. So it would appear you can...From 2nd January, 2014, all foreigners residing in Bangkok will be able to provide their 90 days notification of residence at 2 additional offices, which are Immigration Service Center for 3 national Legalized Labors, Major Hollywood Suksawat and Imperial World Ladprao.
FWIW: I tried a couple times today to get thru to the two numbers I'd posted earlier but couldn't get anyone to answer the phones. I did get people to disconnect the calls, but no one would answer.
CW was quite quiet today I thought. in and out in 2hours. visa re-new plus re-entry.

As mentioned, so I found out! I think I pulled that one from the Immigration home page or perhaps Chiang Mai Lawyers? In any case it stuck with me all these years and so on my move north I thought WTF, try it out. Got the 1,000 yard stare of course, normal for Thai police along with the courtesy smile.Originally Posted by toddaniels
You're a pretty reliable resource Todd. I have you in my file for Thai info. Green coming if I can.
Hey Todd,
I'm on a tourist Visa, could I get my extra 30 days at Imperial world or do I need to go to Chang Wattana. ?
Its just that Imperial world is a lot closer for me.
Cheers
Nope, Chaengwattana is where you gotta go "terry57".
Imperial World LadPrao and Major Suksawat are just for foreignerz to do their 90 day reports.
What about the office at Chombutti Sq (sp) over by Chula? Is it still open?
90 day at Lad Phrao went well.......
