    Multi Non Immigrant O Clarification

I entered Thailand May 3rd on my Multi Entry Non Immigrant "O" Visa.

It expires at the end of the month.

Can I stay in Thailand for 90 day from the day I entered at the beginning of May?

    Thanks in Advance

Whatever the vis states and a non O has a use by date normally a year less 1 day. When you entered on your arrival card and on your passport will be permission to stay.

I have been on O visas since las century.Look in your arrival card it should have identical leave to stay dat eas in your passport. The O allows 90 days from... so in practice if you leave on the very last valid day you get a "FREE" extra 89 days many expats use this method as in addition to the minimal cost differnece it fills yhe passport slower,As a constsnt traveller I often spent more in ayear on passport pages than vis for Thailand which at 5000 baht is under 1000 baht or about a dollar a day to live in a country where there are no community chharges property taxes nor on icoe from abroad unless you are American.

pm me or check tv if you have any more doubts or ask immigration

    As "david44" pointed out,

IF you were to exit thailand the day before the expiration date stamped on the visa which says; "must be utilized by" or "must enter thailand by", and then re-enter, you'll get an additional 90 days.

Do NOT confuse this with the date you have stamped in your passport as "permitted to stay until". That's got NO bearing on the validity of the visa and only says you get to stay until that date..

Every exit/entry on that type of visa garners a 90 day permission to stay stamp.

If you play the dates right you get almost 15 months in country.

    Good Luck..

P/S: I wouldn't bother asking Immigrations inside the country about it, they don't know and don't care how those multiple entry visas work, seeing as they deal with extensions of stay INSIDE the country. Even Immigrations at the border are unlikely to really have a handle on it.
