Visa Application Pack Wont Open

Hi all-

I have just been on to the Hull consulates website to try and download the visa application pack, having trouble opening it though. Why will it not open with Adobe?

Please understand that official visas for Thailand can be issued only by the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate.
The Royal Thai Consulate in Hull accepts responsibility only in respect of visas issued by its officers.

Applications can be submitted to the Royal Thai Consulate in Hull by post or in person.

Postal applications are usually processed within 24 hours of receipt although- this may take longer during the peak periods of September to December.

Applications in person are usually processed within 30 minutes of arrival.

For some reason it opened with Text Edit on my computer and when I tried to open it with Adobe it said it is the wrong type of file.

Yeah. They just download without a file extension but they open in text edit and then I can convert them to pdf's.

I sent you the 3rd one down. Aba Visa Application Pack.

I can get them but they come as PDF files in Open Office. Hope you are sorted from FP or marmite. if not I can send as well what you need.

I contacted the Consulate in Hull by email to ask why it wouldn't open as a PDF and had no reply, discovered that it will open in MS Word, then I converted it to a PDF filled it in and printed it.

Posted off our British passports for visas to the Hull Royal Thai consulate a month ago. It is the first time I have used Hull,friends told Me it was quick,3 days it would take for the Passport and visa to return. Not in My case,Phoned up the Consulate yesterday,and told her that the flight is due and that it is a worry not to have a My passport. The Woman explained that they have had an UNPRECEDENTED amount of applications,it seems like everybody is going to Thailand.
They where only dealing with applications near the depart date,they are cutting it fine.
Got My Passport today(Wednesday),by special delivery by Royal Mail,and I fly out over the weekend.
Good news guys,unprecedented amounts of Pommies are bringing tons of spending money your way.
