NonO marriage Multi entry @KL / 1 yr extension using legal service

I have a Non-o multi entry visas based on marriage. Previously from KL without much hassle just showing 100,000THB in a Thai account. Now KL is asking to show 400,000THB, I called them up yesterday to confirm this is correct - it is. I said I could (just) about show the money but only around 100,000 in a Thai account and the rest in 2 seperate UK accounts by showing online banking printouts. She would not commit exactly 100% if this was acceptable or not I would have to see on the day??

Anyway I think Savanaket is still an option without showing any funds, although my flight to KL is already booked up for August.

Other options are a legal firm here in Phuket who can make a 1 year immigration extension without the 400,000THB, everything else need to show as normal, they charge 25,000THB - so has anyone used this service, is it all ok, sounds a bit expensive and at this price is last resort.

Next option is to show an income of 40,000THb to immigration in Phuket and do the yearly extension myself, I am not sure how strict they are in this or how much they would check into it. e.g. I could show the amount going into my uk acount every month, would I need to show where the money came from. I have about the equivalent 19,000thb go into my account from rental income but the rest I would have to make up with some regular transfers (not really an income that I could show the source of). First would this be aceptable to the Hon Consul or the British embassy to provide an income certificate, Second if I got the certificate would this be accepted by Phuket immigration without any further proof of the income source?

    Thanks

Are you trying to get a new visa or extend your current one.
You chop and change in your post.

I would not use any service that suggests they can circumvent the process for a large fee.

give this firm a call. They are a travel agent, run by a Malaysian dude, in Bangkok. They offer quite an interesting Visa service. Slightly cheaper than plane ticket, hotel etc....

Either, A new multi entry non o is fine but not sure it will be accepted at KL with money in 2 UK banks not a Thai bank. This was my plan until they upped the money to show to 400,000THB. A 1 year extension is ok, my visa expired 5 June I am on the last 90 day entry which expires 15 August. The 400,000THb in a Thai account is the problem. So I was looking into legal services to help with this, or doing it myself in Phuket if its easy to get the income certificate without to much checking. Thanks.

I was caught out before with a language school that promised me extensions in Phuket, I ended up having to go to Bangkok every 90 days because "the rules changed"

    Thanks for replies

nothing like that at all. If you want a retirement visa, the Malaysian bloke will sort it out for you. As said, give them a call and ask about their retirement visa service.

Savanaket is still OK from all reports and I will be going there next month.

Don't understand why KL would want to see 400,000 in the bank, if you had it you can get a extension of stay in Thailand. Jim

Yes as I already have the KL flights booked I will try there first, they should give a single entry if they refuse my Uk accounts for the multi entry. The only advantage now over an extension of stay is if they accept funds from outside of Thailand (other than having to deal with immigration to get the extension). If I don't find another solution then a trip to Savanaket after the 90 days are up seems the only other option, a long trek from Phuket. Thanks.
