what is the difference between single/multi entry (NON B)

Hello, for non b visa, what is point of having multi entry?

I tink, if u just get the single entry, and the company will extend 1 year visa right?
so whats the point for more expensive multi? (5000 baht i presume) (single is 2000 baht)

does multi mean, once the company extends 1 year visa, then u could freely go in and out of thailand?

in case you wish to leave and re-enter Thailand dring the visa validity period

a single entry is just that, once used it becomes invalid so if you go out of the country you cannot use it to re-enter

The single entry needs to be extended for a year and at the same time a multiple re-entry (no limit) will be applied for and a work permit.

Multiple Entry Non B I assume is for someone making business visits

If you're on a single-entry visa and want to leave without cancelling your visa validity, you need to get a re-entry permit. This is a minor bureaucratic hassle, and not exactly convenient when leaving the country on a short notice. They sometimes have a way to handle this at the airport, but the desk may or may not be open, so the only reliable way is to waste a few hours making the trip to the middle-of-nowhere immigration office in Nonthaburi.
