Thai Multi Entry Visa in Singapore

First off lets start at The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore at Orchard Road, this is where you will have to go to get your brand new shiney Non Immigrant Type "O" Visa multi entry, yep just last week one of our members got his one, now I should mention this is the only multi entry visa they will do, ie no more multi entry Non Immigrant Type B visas anymore.

The paperwork needed for your Multi Entry Non Immigrant Type O Visa is a copy of your marriage certificate to a Thai National and obviously a passport type photograph of yourself less than 6 months old, (the photo that is, not you) plus the Visa Application form which you can download here. A copy of your Thai childs birth certificate with you listed as the father will not get you a multi entry visa, now don't that make you feel guilty about having a child out of wedlock you dirty buggers.

The driveway leads to the entrance where the visas are issued, you need to get your application in in the morning and the next day you will get your passport back in the afternoon.

So lets start on this journey to Singapore, AirAsias early flight really does cut it fine for getting your passport in on the morning that you arrive, any slight delay and you aint going to get to the Thai Embassy on time, best to take the afternoon flight and get your passport in on the next morning, if you are going to stay at Geylang you can take the limo from the airport to your hotel for about 800baht, or you can keep going and turn right out of the airport and get a Toyota Crown Taxi for about 350baht, the normal airport taxi fare to Geylang is about 450baht, me, I would walk the extra couple of hundred meters to save the 100baht

Geylang for cheap okish hotels has the Hotel 81 group of hotels, off of the Geylang Road there are about 8 of these, this is the Hotel 81 Geylang at 1,500baht per night, now remember salaries are high in Singapore so they aint got nobody to carry your bags at these places.
They also have rooms with ADSL internet connection, but they charge about 450baht/day extra for this.

^ It wasn't me but yes the guy has been on Non Immigrant Os for quite a few years, now obviously Malaysia etc doesn't issue them anymore so that is why he went to Singapore.

Sex in Geylang Singapore

Well I suppose it is time we got on to the important stuff and not all this visa rubbish, so lets find some sex in Singapore.
Geylang has it's own red light district but our first stop is probably more important for those living in Thailand, yep where to get those sex toys your loved one craves, Hat Yai market does have very small vibrators for sale but that is the limit of sex toys they have, now Singapore is a bit more liberal and it is not illegal to own or use a sex toy on your loved one/s, obviously here in Thailand you would likely face police charges if you are caught with that one foot long black dildo in your possession, but if that's what your loved one wants then Singapore is the place to buy it.

First stop is Ra21 sex shop, they have every toy a young woman could dream of.

This is the Royal Thai embassy in Brisbane Australia.

Now obviously they get a very nice class of people in here, so the decor is in keeping with the high style of customer they entertain.

When I was in there this morning one dickhead asked if he could change Australian Dollars into Thai Dollars.
Forgivable in that the place could be so easily mistaken for a Bank, you Fvcking

in 10 years of going there for my annual "O" that is the only time I have seen another person there.
The people at the Embassy are just the best, I fill out the form, hand over my marriage licence, kids birth certs, my passport and 225 Oz Dollars and less than 10 mins later you have your passport back with a freshly minted Non Imm visa.
The staff are always pleasant & helpful, the embassy itself is located in a delightful restored house, even the toilets are boutique hotel style. Apart from unloading your 225 Dollars its a pleasant experience.

In the past they handed out Non imm visa's easily, but over the last 4 years they have tightened it up.
Now asking for the Marriage licence and other supporting doc's. There is not a requirement to prove income though.

Pulling Thai Girls in Singapore

Now a good place if your too cheap to goto the 4 floors of whores on Orchard road, there is the Siam Disco, this is actually a Karaoke on Geylang, the maids etc on their time off like to visit here, now the odds are your missus will be in Thailand, so your probably looking for somebody else to replace her with for an hour or two, actually all round this area you will find it has quite a high density of Thais.

A Thai restaurant across the road if you get a bit peckish for Tom Yum Krung.

Also In the Geylang area is this seedy little road, sexual acts start from as little as 800baht.

If you're really interested in saving money, and you're staying in Geylang, take the MRT train from the airport station. The station at the airport is in Terminal 2, and if you arrive in Terminal 1 you can take a shuttle to Terminal 2. Just follow the signs from the arrival area. The entrance to the train station is behind the Burger King fast food outlet in Terminal 2. I stayed at the Fragrance Ruby Hotel on Lorong 20 and it was an easy 3 block walk from the MRT Aljunied station (EW9). Many hotels in Geyland are also within the same easy walk from the train station. Buy a multi-trip card and put S$10 on it, you can cash it in for the unused amount at the airport station when you leave.

Coming from or going to the airport, you have to change trains at the Tanah Merah station, 2 stops away from the airport, but it's easier than changing from the Sukhumvit to the Silom BRT line in Bangkok. I didn't check but I would guess that you can save or significantly reduce a taxi fare if you are staying near Orchard Towers as well. Check the map to locate the nearest MRT station to your hotel.

Here's a link to a good map showing both streets and train stations:

As per my post a year ago I need to get another type "O" Visa based on marriage, because today I fvcked up big time and was a day late doing a border run.
As a consequence of my complete and utter stupidity I am now for the first time in 10 yrs, the holder of a brand new 30 day tourist visa .

I assume I can get this Visa in Singapore, as per the dogs OP?

PP, I assume that you had a multi entry O visa.
Why are you still doing border runs? Why not get a retirement extension which is good for one year ?

Seems like a good thread to ask the question !

I have a retirement visa up to 26 Feb 2009 .
Just done the 90 day thing and have to report back on 21 Feb 2009 .
What happens then ?
do I get another 90 days or do I then have to go through all the bullshit to get another years retirement visa ???

Is there a good guide to Geylang?

I have to change my visa /work permit next month

I found that getting a multiple entry non -immigrant O or B was easier using an honorary consulate. Although I find the Singapore is quick, courteous and efficient - except for one little Thai woman who is meant to be there to help primary inquiries - ahe is ust downright rude.

I should have said "used to be" - it was some time ago I got y last "O" and fist "B".

What's the "4 floors of Whores?"

I'll spend some time in singapore - need to update my techno-stuff at the IT malls and thought a bit of sightseeing too
