The American language is the global language and is spoken by over 300 million people. It is not a static language and new terms and meanings are being added depending on their usefulness. The English Language is spoken by 30 million people, is static, and a confusing array of spellings and pronunciations. Sri Lanka has no "r" on the end of the word, but I heard a BBC announcer say, "Sri Lanker". Well at least they have stop saying "Chiner" for China. This: Peter get with the program and work on your coloring book. or this : Pee - tah get with the programme and colour your book. On my way to Bangkok I flew over an overpass in an airplane.

I was wondering which American language he was talking about. There's quite a few to choose from. Wiki lists 143 of them in south America, and 296 north of Mexico.

I guess he could be talking about Spanish, but the Spaniards might take issue with that being an American language.

In common understanding the American Language is spoken by people in the US and Canada except for some of the eastern provinces where people speak French and I know that you know that the Mexican version of the Spanish language is called Spanish by every almost every Mexican.
