Thread: Schools out!

Done with teaching until May 17. Gotta do a sign-in, sign-out next week, and then we're off. Just a few days shy of 2 and half month's paid vacation.

Yes, I'm looking forward to vacation next week, the best part is being able to stay out and stay awake as late at night as I want to, and sleep in the day when it's so miserably hot and humid.

The long break is a godsend, but if I had my druthers, I think I'd rather see the holidays distributed throughout the year.

Yes but the pay is shite. Face is more important than accomplishments. No merit consideration in salary decisions. It ain't all it's made out to be mate. You spend more on your holiday than when teaching, in fact go into the red and start borrowing or drawing on savings. Then back to school the next day/week or in this example, month wondering why you are working to lose money?
