| Teaching In Thailand Teaching in Thailand can be a great career with salaries in the range of $2,500 to $6,000 per month, or you could become a TEFLer with a salary range of 350-500 pounds per month, no experience necessary. |

If people really cared about business ethics so much, they wouldn't be living here pumping their £'s $'s and B's into the Thai economy. They'd be setting up a non-profit TEFL course that donates it's proceeds to the poor and only accepts customers who already have a MA in Education to ensure the high quality of it's graduates. Couldn't have 'teachers' with only 4 weeks of training working with students now, it just wouldn't be ethical.

| Ask me again in 40 years when I'm of retirement age. Mind you, I'll already be retired here well over 20 years at that stage. And I'd say possibly, but more than likely the quality of life £1000 a month gives 'em here is better than the quality of life of being 70, divorced, living in Aberdeen and living on the same amount. Not exactly too trivial mate. Whatever that's got to do with a service provider providing a service that's in demand, and people who aren't bickering like a child about it only you know. | Am I thick? Exactly the opposite. Don't think of a pink elephant. Regardless of your crap one-line admitting I am not an pedophile, you still spent 100 words comparing me to the guy. If there was disinformation like that on my website I would be arrested. It shows how you work. Mods, this idiot deserves to get banned for that crap. | Of course this could all just be a bunch of bitter 'can't do anything else to stay in Thailand teflers' who can't stand their job, and thus their life being bitter at someone someway more successful than them. Could be more too of course, but given that at least 2 of the 3 haters in this thread have mental issues, obsessive disorders and quite a lot of anger inside them is a bit of an indicator. |

Exacto! And go figure a guy who owns businesses in other nations would pick this one as a base of operations, when he could live in much hipper places. And I wonder if a person in that situation has a rented town house, #17 in a row of 30, with barking dogs all night long and a Honda Dream in the driveway.

| Sure do, got into it after 2 years of chilling out and doing other business here, work with lower Prathom level. Most enjoyable and rewarding job I've ever had. Love every minute of it. The only reason to do the job. Unfortunately (and this is only my experience) around 50% of the 'teachers' I've worked with are in any way capable of teaching, obviously don't enjoy their job, and are, really, losers in the extreme, in nearly everyway. Doing a job they don't enjoy just to stay in a country - pathetic. |

| Quote: My reason for starting this thread was to centralise any TEFL course sniping so that Bruce can join in other threads without getting sidetracked. Plus I'm also interested as to why these two schools have been picked on. I know why I used to do it. I'll go into that later this week if anyone actually cares.
