Teaching In Thailand Being a international school teacher in Thailand can be a great career with salaries in the range of $2,500 to $6,000 per month, or you could become a TEFLer teaching English with a salary range of 350-600 pounds per month, although with many teaching jobs it could be worth doing a TEFL course even if no experience is necessary, but will teaching students fulfil your overseas jobs yearnings? Is a English language teaching job something you really want to do? Can you teach English?

From what I see of the whole bloody fiasco here and in a resurrected site elswhere there are some mindless idiots on a self drive ego kick who seem intent on destroying what little reputation English teachers in general have here in Thailand.I see that in one post one poster is actually threatening another with action under the new Thai internet laws, what a wonderful group of born again losers those types are.Oh in case you ask I do teach in a normal international school.

I think you'll find the reputation of English teachers in Thailand is fairly safe.

I went to look at TEFL Watchers Information today and there it was gone !!! According to the notice posted by (the site hosters ?) .Too many trolls and qoute ''pedo's'' posting.Says a lot for the people who either owned the site or their posters.Having seen the postings in the site I am not suprised at all. There were some very nasty people posting who had no respect for free speech just a personal site for a howling mob of twats.

I still think if Smeg would at least try to be impartial he would have more credibility!

Smeg and credibility are two words that don't belong in the same sentence

At times smeg might be a bit of a nutter, but I think he also has some valid points that some of you would do well to listen to as well.

The problem is he is compleely one sided, so anything he says must be taken with a grain of salt.
