OF COURSE NOT. Free speech is great. But libel is not.

He is breaking laws in every country I know of, not just the "easy" countries like Thailand.

I don't evem know where the guy is.

And I provoked greg how? Never met him. Never spoken to him. Never done business with him. Sudddenly this insane moderator was claiming I had had him fired from his job and that he fled the country in fear of me. I DID NOT EVEN KNOW HIS NAME AT THE TIME. And his friends confirm it was just a story created... to get hits and thus more Google revenues? Your guess is as good as mine. I could go on and on, but most has been covered.

He has threatened me with lots of stuff and accused me of a lot of stuff. he has also sent me dozens of religious Emails callimg me his brother. I will not for a second attempt to guess his motives.

I think we can safely say Greg has been proven to be a liar who will do and say anything. You don't like TESOL courses and i run a TESOL course. Most people think our course is pretty good and while I am not perfect, no one has ever accused me of blatantly making things up like Greg has been proven to do.

Well, there you go. You'll have to get off your butt and find him if you want to stop him and if it really does bother you. That seems to be the obvious solution, and far more effective than simply moaning about it.

And as soon as I find him he will close down site A and move it all to site B, all the while claiming he has nothing to do with it..... You know he claims to have nothing to do with the site that has all the TW posts (after he deleted EVERY positive post about TEFL International) while it is quite obvious he is the mod.

It is the current nature of the internet. In the future I believe there will be far stronger rules and better means of enforcement. Not now.

You alone chose to wholly rely on the internet to build up a business and get one over on more traditional competitors, presumably because you thought it to be the quickest, easiest, cheapest way of doing so. There is no way that I would put all my eggs in such a huge uncontrollable basket. But you did, and unless you can think of an alternative, you have to live with the downsides of doing so.

TEFL International has certainly used the internet by LEGALLY promoting our courses, just as we have employed more traditional media like newspapers and magazines. So because we have LEGALLY employed various media to promote ourselves we have to accept ILLEGAL uses of that same media to attack us?

Heck the story of TEFLwatch and Greg broke 1,000!

Now for all of you who think this is no big deal, imagine you are running a successful chain of restaurants in Thailand when suddenly a website that is SUPPOSED to be an unbiased restaurant review site started making all kinds of wild accusations about you, that your food makes people sick, that you cheat your employees, that you tried to get another restuarant burned down by mafia guys.

This goes on for 2 years and then people on other websites, seeing the claims, start assuming they must be true.

I swear if someone ever says to me, face to face, "where there's smoke there's fire" i just might grab them by the throat and kill them...

It might seem insignificant to you but it does not feel that way to me.
